Only one lance? Your 945G makes me confusing...i thought you are saying Lance 245G.
heard that some DBS-liveried buses were used as well. i wonder if the sold off Soon Chows could have done the shuttle. haha.

haha when i left office at raffles place around 2pm[fullerton hotel bus stop], the last bendy departed after the pink private bus left...
Then i saw SMRT personnel waving off the rest of the shuttles and all left w/o picking passengers except for Marina Bay connection AFAIK...
it was then i saw all the SMRT bus varieties on the road in less than 10mins
ACx
i saw this "SMRT shuttle bus broke down while travelling from Bishan MRT station to Toa Payoh MRT station!!!"

A&S Transport? They have quite a number of private buses that have dual exits (ie. both front & back doors), such as the Mk4 Soon Chows, some of the older UD SC Classic-bodied buses and some other China buses. Good for dropping off people and ferrying them tomorrow.
Speaking of which, such a disgrace for SMRT. Still need other private bus operators to lend a helping hand. See, now you know what happens when you act smart anyhow lay-up your buses before their lifespan is up (Volgren Hinos & Lances anyone?), and the new buses bought are not for fleet expansion, but fleet replacement. Bound to fail.

To some random unknown VO3x,
A few corrections to point to you since u repeated yourself everywhere with no accuracy.
1. Smrt operates mainly in the North and North-West, not West.
2. Which hino and lance have been laid up before their lifespan and not due to accident or it getting burnt down?
reload again for ppl who missed it..

Same, my dad works for the SMRT's electrical department. Did 3 consecutive nights of OT (includiing last night), just came back after finishing his section to check along the East West Line.

I'm not good with geography, so i apologise for my sense of direction since I don't travel to SMRT territory often. Since you are so exact at where they operate, fine then.
And anyway, they did have the intention to laid up the buses right? I might be wrong, but I came across from more than one source that said so. So if you could prove that they did not have the intention, then well then.
And you seemed to be standing up for SMRT? I'm not saying you're wrong in standing up for them or trying to say both sides of the story, but yeah to each his own. Peace.

Bishan - Jurong East (Sv 99 bus stop) & Bishan - Raffles Place by SMRT.
The NSL replacement buses can go holland and holding up of buses situation... Most epic was at places like CCK, Marsiling, Sembawang (Long queue)...
Ground staff holding up buses.. Ends up sometimes got 4 to 5 SMRT bus appearing, sometimes not a single in sight..
The EWL replacement buses I think has to ply too many places.. Ought to have some fast forward varient i.e. Boon Lay - Clementi - Buona Vista - Tiong Bahru - CBD stations.
heng I managed to snap a few shuttles at PSR before the rain came..
Jurong East: Citybound use Sv 98M's berth, Joo Koon bound uses CW3's berth

Another variant will be 13-station sequence JUR-BBT-CCK-WDL-SBW-YIS-AMK-BSH-TAP-ORC-DBG-CTH-RFP, where people can easily transfer to feeder/trunk services for last-mile trips.
Jurong East - Kranji took 1 hr..

It may create a lot of confusion and may situation may get worse. With the media coverage already so wide, some people can still not know that MRT did not opearate in the morning. For EWL stretch, some people already complain on why the service terminates at Raffles Place.
