my friend staying at kew drive was informed by me of the amendment. she doesnt even see any "obvious" notice.
that new pole thingy is bad.
Transport operator SBS Transit will be making changes to bus services 43 and 48.
To meet the needs of Punggol residents, service 43 will call at two new bus stops - located opposite each other - along Punggol way outside Soo Teck LRT Station, from Saturday, Dec 17.
Bus service 48 will ply between Bedok North Depot and Buona Vista Terminal, and stop at nine more pairs of bus stops along the changed route from Sunday, Dec 11.
Service 48 will now run along Bedok North Avenue 4, Upper Changi Road, Bedok Road, New Upper Changi Road and Bedok South Avenue 3, and make access to Tanah Merah MRT station quicker for residents.

As a follow up, i saw SBS8169X on 33 today deduce is sent to BNDEP. Either way, this might be a headstart of AMDEP "donation" of Scanias to accomodate BNDEP's new demand such as 48's shift in control which most likely will bbe effected or to reinforce WAB demand across the depot since WSD is running low in no. there.
Yeaps, you're right man. 81 is just waiting for Wrights, it's plain obvious, but too bad the VO3x are not all adless, and I don't think the 81's SL wants to give up the 3 VSOs too.
And yeah, 8169X 8248B 5039H have all crossed over to BNDEP from AMDEP. The weird thing is, none of these KUBs are from the AM SP fleet. Hmm. Too lousy to give out or AM wants to keep all the good ones in?
And if anyone did realise, 5006C is usually a SP for 36. For most of the weekdays it is on cameo, more often than not, it does 36 twice a week. Although it still goes around elsewhere to cameo on other days. So good call on AM to finally give some KUBs to BN, it took abit longer than expected. Might have 1 or 2 more KUBs flying over, but if there's none, i think BN should do just fine with 3 KUB SPs compared with just 5006C for the past week.

But BN kinda "fails" in maintaining the 60% WAB quota in some of its WAB services.
1 example is 291. 14 Buses. 60% -> 8.4 ~ 9 buses.
Given that there are 5 Non-WAB ADDs, this leaves 291 to 9 WAB buses. However, 291 has been getting Non-WAB buses to replace these KUBs.
Today, 291 has 702J (Rp 8671) and 807R (Rp 8218M) as Non-WAB cameos, bringing down the WAB % to 50% today. Hence BN should receive more WABs from AM to cope with the already WAB services. Just my 2cents here.
Back to topic; 48 would receive a WAB fleet add for 8 trips.

You can't blame them can you when all that's left in its spare fleet is those Mk3s and Mk4s? Actually not just the feeders and single deck services, the amount of B9TLs on some DD services like 2 is also quite atrocious on certain days (just look at the no. of SP VO3x) But also what can they do when they only have 2 B9TLs as spares for the vast number of DD WAB services? So just have to make do somehow, and hope that no one report to the press BNDEP is actually quite short of spare buses, despite it having the most number of buses now compared to the rest. Hmm. So I second with you that AMDEP should do something about it.
Anyway, sorry if i misunderstand your statement, but means 48 only has 1 fleet add to its entire fleet with the amendment? Or 1 WAB fleet add plus a few other non-WAB fleet add?

According to e-timetable, it says that there would be 8 extra WAB trips. So kinda guess is 1 WAB fleet add. Non-WAB wise the number of Non-WAB trips is the same, hence no non-wab fleet add

and 9 extra trips from BNDEP.
fleet add of 1 bus is just to make sure the frequency stays the same but did not take into account the expected increase of people using the extension. maybe 1 more extra bus should be better?

Probably they have used my suggestion, just that they decided on svc 48 instead. My other suggestions may have been trashed though.
In Nov 2007, the PTC approved the application from SBS Transit for service 48 to be extended on both ends to Bedok North Depot and Kent Ridge Terminal.

I think ARBP Control 11 duties while BNDEP control 3-4 duties

Any reasons such that they took 4 years before rolling out this amendment? I mean, from the list, there are still many other approved amendments from around the same period such as Service 41, 117 that haven't been rolled out yet. And Service 11 is still running despite it approved to be withdrawn? Hmm, just wondering.

Withdrawing a service is the hardest. Even skipping certain bus stops require justification and talking to the grassroots, that's why it can take so long. Going by the looks, the extension to KRT is dead. That part of the proposal likely would have lapsed if not it would be have been extended to KRT together.
after the approval, there was a lapse period. so the amendment was considered void. Now under central planning this idea resurfaced and you get what u get today.Originally posted by SBS 9631X:Any reasons such that they took 4 years before rolling out this amendment?
