I think Dart die le

I see no point for SBST to make square side destos for service 48 route change just because of the 2 Mk3s, and after a few months it becomes useless...
They will probably just put Citaros or some other newer buses to replace the Mk3s.

The 4 Euro 4 K230UBs will stay put under ARBP. There might be another fleet add of 2 buses from BNDEP side, 1 of which BNDEP might make use of 5006C to become a new BNDEP 48 perm.
I'm in agreement with you on what you said. The Batch 1 Euro 4s will very likely stay in the West district control. But the 5006C part i'm not sure, depends on what buses are there in future depot transfers. I mean, BNDEP can't survive forever without no SP KUBs at all right, but with a ton of Mk4 SPs?

48 is a WAB service. I believe that if 48 is to have fleet add from BNDEP side, BNDEP got to supply at least 1 WAB bus. If all the fleet adds are to be a non-WAB bus it might affect the WAB quota for service 48 (current fleet is only 60% WAB).

Duh, i also know 48 is a WAB service. But do also consider that the recent allocations of new Citaros have been to BB & HG, with the last of the BN Citaros as 6116L 6117J and 6126H.
Either way, BN has not gotten new Citaros for a very long time alr compared to BB & HG. So as long as BN has sufficient WAB SDs to utilise as Spares, then the probable WAB fleet adds for 48 should be okay. I'm just trying to speak from the logical point of view, since none of the depots has ever been left without any SP SD WABs (either KUBs or Citaros) so far.
Anyway, if you add 2 more WABs to 48 to either depot, the % of WABs for 48 would have hit 61%. So if those 2 slots currently occupied by the AR Mk3s are replaced by the abundant Citaros in BB, the 2 fleet adds contributed by BN need not be WAB at all.

Hmm... Let's just wait and see this weekend.
Who knows, BNDEP might pull out K230UBs from a non-WAB service for 48's fleet add and replace that affected service with MK4 DM.
hello averyone, can anybody show me the notice of this service 48 extended to BN Ave 4?

Allow me to assist you.
Use your mouse. Click "Singapore Buses" on the top. This will bring you back to the main page.
Click "Press Releases in 2011". Go to SinkTel's post on 5/12/2011 at 1pm. You should then see the notice.
Alternatively, click here. http://sgforums.com/forums/1279/topics/419720?page=20

I hope 81's EEVs are taken out again though. Not going to go WAB anytime soon without the Wrights!

give 81 some buses like MK4 since they no intention to WAB it.
As a follow up, i saw SBS8169X on 33 today deduce is sent to BNDEP. Either way, this might be a headstart of AMDEP "donation" of Scanias to accomodate BNDEP's new demand such as 48's shift in control which most likely will bbe effected or to reinforce WAB demand across the depot since WSD is running low in no. there.
why the need to skip kew drive bedok camp that section, 48 can carry on via bedok road then upper changi road then bedok north ave 4
MRT connection to southern leg of Bedok South Ave 3 & Upp East Coast Rd, though there's 229 and 14 as alternatives.Originally posted by kengkia:why the need to skip kew drive bedok camp that section, 48 can carry on via bedok road then upper changi road then bedok north ave 4

Right.

I guess it will be a duplication of the current 10 route.

Another alternative beside 12 and 38 also
wonder if would be nice is served ITE collage east though to ease svc 31 but tat impossible
today SBS8036 EDS was showing Bedok North Depot... a bit too early.....
Seen the notice at TM MRT bustop..so small, most pple will definitely miss it. Cutting cost or what?
Anyway, this may be a coincidence; ard a mth ago I emailed SBSTransit several suggestions, one of them was to extend svc 135 to Bdk Nth Depot, the extended route is similar to that of svc 48's future route. Probably they have used my suggestion, just that they decided on svc 48 instead. My other suggestions may have been trashed though.
Hmmm...
Weird that they extend 48 instead of 135 or 55.
Since Upper East Coast terminal has one bus service there, hope they can extend 55 and 135 in future.

Another example will be the bus stop opp parkway parade which the pole is too far away as well . Miss the big wooden notice of old..
Btw as per mentioned, the EDS is now >BEDOK NTH DEPOT. Wonder why the press release is still not stated in SBS website when it's just 3 days away and there are no notices in perm 48 buses as well.
The wooden board notice is still the best.
