Too bad not extending to Kent Ridge, but to Bedok Interchange.
Quite pointless to extend to KRT.
It would be fairly useful if extending to KRT via Holland Ave, Commonwealth Ave, Commonwealth Ave West, Dover Ave, Dover Road, Clementi Road, Kent Ridge Crescent, Kent Ridge Terminal.

not to bedok interchange.. but to bedok depot.
KRT is overcrowded, can't take in Service 48.
lol. a friend of mine stays at kew drive. kena trolled by this amendment.
terminate at PGP via Sth Buona Vista Rd?
lol
Will the amended service 48 come under partial BNDEP controlled? I believe some of the permers might crossover from ARBP to BNDEP.

Not good.

should be.... maybe control 3-4 buses under BNDEP...

But there's also a chance that BNDEP will deploy SP Non-WABs to 48, while some buses from AR 48 will get kicked to SP

BNDEP might control 3-4 slots and might deploy 1 or 2 DD on Sv48? Sv48 should get fleet add of at least 1 or 2 buses?
48 cannot use ADD
It makes no sense for a service to terminate right outside BNDEP, but yet no buses from BNDEP at all for 48.
I mean, from history, look at what happen to Service 185 when it was just launched. It used SLBP buses and terminated right outside SLBP too. So what are the chances half of 48's fleet will go BNDEP? maybe not half, but some of the fleet will go BNDEP control.
It is also more suitable for the last few trips, since they can just turn in and parked inside BNDEP once their trip ends, instead of going back all the way to ARBP to park if it's still gonna be fully ARBP control.

yep, like how 45 take some bus from AMDEP.
But the extension is serving the "birds dont lay egg" section except Bedok South ave 3 part imo. I thought going round Bedok North blk 85 hawker centre there more "value" for 48.

if they're able to park there without causing a massive jam then sure lol

I've no idea why they decide to ply that stretch too. =/
What i'm thinking is the buses they will kope over from AR 48 to BN. Apparently AMDEP still didn't transfer any of their KUBs over to BNDEP after 292 & 403 went WAB, leaving 5006C as the only KUB SP now in BN. So was thinking this decision might have something to do with the buses going over to BN from AR 48.
Probably BNDEP will not want the Batch 1 Euro IVs, since those had been under the West district all their lives (SL - HG - BB/AR), and BN has no Batch 1 Euro IVs so far.
IMO most likely there will be minority BNDEP control on 48. Maybe 2-4 buses?
Don't think there should be any 48 ARBP K230UBs (be it Euro 4/5) as well as the 4 MK IVs to be transferred to BNDEP. Most likely BNDEP will take the spot for the supposed fleet addition and the remaining 2 slots from ARBP which are deployed by MK IIIs will be transfer to BNDEP control in which the 2 MK IIIs will get redeployed and replaced by buses already on BNDEP.
So this is the trend these days eh?
Building things to capacity.
And then when we need a new service or an extension, it becomes impossible due to the fanciful new interchanges.
Classic sai ji ka chng (sh*t jammed in the ass).
Just like how they build the tiny CCL train stations and will probably face the same problem in a short while and then explain to the public that oh! we didn't project this and that would happen.
bull-sh*t!
Ah 2601...
This case pretty special, for it's an unmanned bus terminal
I don't mean KRT....its just that its problem is not isolated case for wholly stupid reasons in other places.

I got the feeling that 2-3 EEVs that are currently perm 48 might crossover to BNDEP, so that both depots will have a control of WAB and non-WAB blocks. The 4 Euro 4 K230UBs will stay put under ARBP. There might be another fleet add of 2 buses from BNDEP side, 1 of which BNDEP might make use of 5006C to become a new BNDEP 48 perm.
Wonder if SBST will make new metallic square side destos for service 48's route change or not, as the MK3s have only 6 more months left to go which is no point.
I think the new desto aren't metallic anymore...
Dunno is it of plastics...

Once the MK3s and Darts go off completely, the square side destos will go into history.
I see no point for SBST to make square side destos for service 48 route change just because of the 2 Mk3s, and after a few months it becomes useless...
