Should 39,86&168 have called at both bus stops at Jln Kayu?

  speaking of that place, does anyone know why 161 do not ply there?

  i know 168 takes care of woodlands.

  86 takes care of sengkang portion.

  but what about those coming from hougang and to hougang?

  That bus stop, if you are making a transfer there, no need to walk to the other bus stop. If you do, you would be heading back towards the direction you came from. Just alight, and wait for the connecting service there, to continue your journey.

  Sengkang > west camp road via 86, 103
  yio chu kang rd >woodlands via 103, 168

  I remember like this:

  Whether izzit 86 to AMK X 858 to airport, or 858 to 86 the other way round, it's still walk from Aft camp to Bef camp.

  Actually what is the big fuss of this? The 2 bus stops exists way long back when Jalan Kayu terminal exists. The 2 bus stops act as a alighting berth and boarding berth for the terminal. Pass by services uses this concept as well for the bi-directional trips. As Jalan Kayu terminal closes, the 2 bus stops still serve their respective purposes. They are even less then 20 meters apart. What I feel is that LTA should build a sheltered walkway to link these 2 bus stops, so that commuters can change buses easily in case of rainy days.
