I'd notice that people are confused when the bus service that plies Jln Kayu bus stops were stopping for boarding/alighting activities at one of the bus stops instead of the other (e.g. buses going towards Sengkang/Tampines/Bedok stops at Before Camp Gate bus stop when those people wanted to board the bus service at After Camp Gate bus stop to Ang Mo Kio/Yishun/Woodlands, to their disappointment.). So is it fine for 39, 86 & 168 to ply both bus stops for two times, then having red/white plates displayed on the windscreen on the bus (otherwise, for buses without EDS-es, they will have full red/white side destos with white/red words and lines)?

Walking is of course one of the solutions indeed. But as for those who are confused, I was just trying whether I can help.
No...
Like this we know, 'OK, this bus stop is for buses using TPE (PIE)', the other side for TPE (SLE)...
hell no way man, will cause jam. although the bus stop towards tampines sengkang changi airport need some upgrading :D

Haha thats why.wth man seriously.
iirc there used to be a bus stop at the side which is currently served by 103 (the bus stop design simillar to the other side one) then not sure which year they moved to the other side :x

You are right. But I have one more question to ask: When people saw the bus they want to board at one bus stop, they flagged for it and the bus did not stop because the bus was meant to go to/have plied the other bus stop, that's why I think whether red/white plates can be used on these services.

I think it was moved in 2007 when 103 was amended.
R/ W plate???
Aiyo.. 170's case is good enough le... Still got ppl unsure which is which..
i dont think theres any confusion.. 95% of people are regulars. I hardly see any people boarding at wrong stop... flag wrong directional bus, sometimes..
in fact, people can see the direction the bus is heading as the bus is turning in
(freq is terrible anyway, so people are always staring towards the horizon for the bus, impatiently)
many outsiders also never heard of jalan kayu as a transfer stop anyway...
the big bus stop > towards east
small one > towards north
nothing needs to be done!
okay thank you, next!
i quote, from mr bean movie...
"'If you do nothing,
nothing can go wrong."
so don't do anything.
Seriously, its just a walk (of less than 30steps...). Not forgetting that ppl who uses the bus stops are regulars. Common sense would tell u to check the board. Or simply ask others who are at the same bus stop.

This issue imo the current arrangement of bus stop like buay soon, cos the bus stop aft camp gate is for North heading trips of 39, 168 & 858, which looks ironical since they need to cut right lane. Wouldn't it be better if that stop is for the east heading trips cos it can shun bian left turn from there. Of cos for 86 it's different cos it'll go straight into Jalan Kayu and if it doesn't call at the aft camp gate stop for AMK heading trips, the "policy" like conflict cos 103 will go into Jalan Kayu aft that stop . Probably to accomodate 103's practice, every service goes the way it is now

look at the routes of 86, 103, 39, 168, 858.
then look at how it's arranged.
svcs coming from east and north, going to west and south call at after camp G
(39: to Yishun, 86: AMK, 103: Serangoon, 168: Woodlands, 858: Woodlands)
svcs coming from west and south, going to east and north call at before camp G
(39: Tampines, 86: Sengkang. 103: ulu place, 168: Bedok, 858: Changi)
now tell me if it makes sense
now think. if 85 was the one to enter camp G instead of 86, this will be drastically different.

so u also meant to say that the current bus stop placement is buay soon? . But what's the point regarding 85? If it comes in, they would let it stop the way 39 does isn't it?

lol
try to construct Seletar Camp G with 85, 103, 39, 168, 858
you'll notice something nice...
remember all buses going to the same side must stop together
It will be even more confusing.
I rather they put up big plates like those in the interchanges to let commuters know where they are headed for.
the PTOs did that when the old bus stop pole was around.Originally posted by Junyang700:It will be even more confusing.

from my experience, the people using those bus stops are mostly regulars. even if some people who happened to use that pair of bus stops and do not really know the directions well, at least they bothered to ask around, and the people are just kind enough to help them. plying both bus stops twice simply waste time...the bus stops are split for some reason, right?
wonder what's wrong with the kids of this generation. has technology really made them so lazy? to the extent that they are even lazy to walk 30 - 50 steps, or just 20m?
