wa kaoz.. The existing station fare not touched at all!
Buona Vista > HBF: Via CCL 8.0km $1.42.. Yet it shows EWL > NEL 9.1km $1.38.. This one accepted.
Bishan > Buona Vista: Via CCL 10.0km $1.52. Yet it shows NSL > EWL 16.5km $1.55...
Dun tell me walking distance again?
Even the Potong Pasir > Toa Payoh still charges based on NEL > NSL distance.
Otherwise how to pay for all the Wrights and M&Ms
By right, the official route selection method is by travelling time (including walking time).
So interestingly, BNV to HBF, CCL takes 15 mins, EWL/NEL takes 10+5+4mins=19mins. By right we should take CCL fare as the final fare but they used EWL/NEL.
I just realised, your examples are all existing interchanges. Hmmm.
看懂咪达

This one is real special case cos of the 15c or 25c fare premium...

Even I play Dover > HBF, give me EWL > NEL connection.. But as again, EWL > NEL is cheaper..
Maybe they haven't upload fare mechanism for CCL.

CCL 4/ 5 stations are up le
looks like it is better to avoid CCL and NEL as long as it is not too inconvenient. personally dislike the structure within structure (DBTF) pricing for these premium lines which not a lot of people are aware of.
When are they going to have anothr round of fare adjustement? Coming soon? I have save up the money to return to them.

Not avoid CCL, but avoid to enter/exit from non-interchange CCL stations. I should make efort to board train from BV instead.
CCL stations.
I really dont understand why make it so complicated.
Why not standardised it? Why must make it fare different when you enter from here and there?

Cos there's distance differences.
Say from Buona Vista to HarbourFront, you can take using CCL or EWL > NEL. Distance diff together with the underground railway fare premium.
Seriously they should go one more step standardise the 15 or 25c fare premium, else this Buona Vista - HBF problem would appear again.

I just think that such premiums make DBTF a structure full of bollocks as it should live up to its name to make distance and only distance be the ultimate determinant of fares. Having to pay premium for underground railway is like asking me to pay more for a Wright or Citaro (MAN anyone?) bus trip. I dont know if this analogy makes sense but i think the meaning is there. Worse part is the ignorance people have with regards to the extra fares they are forking out per trip, blinded by those wonderful artwork in transit, awesome skylight and dazzling glassroof exits. Well I'd rather walk to holland v anytime from BNV if it isn't raining.
Fare increase starts today right?

pls post in train forum

I think the surcharge wld be more for those KUBs which are supposedly more expensive than Citaros? And yes you never fail to draw any possible parallels. Oh well.
But that would offend buses[in]gapore! because it would imply that KUBs provide a more premium ride than Citaros

The train forum is already no longer in use to almost everyone.
