ha; this is the type of ADD bus i think sg transport operators should buy to replace some more single-decks. With only 2-axle, i believe its cheaper than the 3-axle model.
For high demand route; of course deploy the 3-axle ADDs such as the Wrights.
Short wheelbase buses in HK are to deal with their narrow roads, and maybe other conditions. Unless there's a need in Singapore, else be expecting only 12M buses. Even roads plied by VO2X and Dennis Dart can be replaceable with LO/VO3X and MKIII/IV respectively, therefore doubtfully Singpore operators will bring in shorter wheelbase buses.
Cheers.

Not too sure as I reviewed my thoughts abt 2x ADDs should we really go for 2x ADD...
Maybe 11m ADD may be better, the new BIs can't accomodate buses that's too frequent either.

true!
as much as I want to take 179A to alleviate the Pioneer MRT station jam, i don't want to spend 3 traffic light changes outside Boon Lay Interchange yellow box because bus interchange got jam.
kena at 6.40pm.

The Boon Lay one ar...
There's some bus svs ends up is just too frequent.
Boon Lay feeders a bit sot
243G/W plies more blocks yet 241 gets 3 mins + ADD...
1 side packed, 1 side 3 mins w/ ADD 30% loaded. Worst, 241 & 243 plies the same ward but diff sector.
192 & 193 dispatch post AM peak also a bit sot..

my idea is get some of these 2-axle ADDs to replace some existing single-deck buses to help reduce overcrowding problems and enable pax have more chances of getting a seat onboard. This 2-axle ADD is used for medium-demand routes; wheras 3-axle ADD are for high-demand routes. I believe the cost of 2-axle ADDs are cheaper than 3-axle models; hopefully is economical for our bus operators. Also, instead of using a single-deck, deployment of 2-axle ADD can also reduce a couple of buses used per route (hence greater productivity and reduce operating costs), which can allevate congestion in the cramped new BIs as mentioned by you.

Yup KMB ADL E400, rego PC4053. There's also a bus model based on this too.
Cheers.

Capacity wise, I dun think they're anywhere to be carrying more ppl than a SD.. It's the no of seats.
