anyone notice that 226 is twice 113?

Threadstarter, did you check the loading factor for sv113 everyday at all times before you fire off your request?~
if you did, i salute you, if you did not , please do not make such a big hooha about sv113. it is nothing special, DDs are better utlised elsewhere on HG routes...
Y do i say that?!
Coz yest i was at SOTA bus stop, i waited for 28 mins for 3 single deck sv147 to come at regular intervals, 8445 8446 2659, 1st 2 cannot board, manage to squeeze on 2659 so shldn we cut 113 buses and split shift to 147 evening run to get more revenue[based on SBST reply on sv113's ridership]!?
that would allow SBST to get more revenue from sv147, more revenue means more profit so SBST would not anyhow increase fares!
The thread should change to "Petition for sv113 to cut scheduled buses & NO DDs should be allocated"
ACx
Taking 147 can be a miserable affair...as someone who takes 147 as well, I can attest to this. And at night....the frequency is just miserable and when the DD comes, its packed with people!
I suspect 147's taiji is buses tio tiao somewhere.
Any junction that has kee siao traffic cycle duration?
I think I know where le...
Woodsville, Sim Lim/ Selegie, Jln Bt Merah/ Lower Delta Rd.

147 problem is like 151....the BCs follow their own schedule which leaves me confused when I wait forever and the bus crawls.
And then 2 147s just overtake enroute...leaving me pissed at being penalised for arriving at the bus-stop early.
Its the same thing for many long distance routes....except maybe 74 which is quite good at crawling....the BCs have perfected the art of slowing imperceptibly at traffic lights and coming to nice halt when the lights are still green. Been like this for many years already!

You have no idea what you are talking about. Electoral divisions are electoral divisions, planning areas are planning areas and towns are towns. Hougang is A/ONE town which has been spilt into 4 parts. Doing a Hougang GRC would be political suicide for PAP.

SBS5010P, the more you try to write and rebut your "idealistic, lofty 113 hopes", the more you are making a joke of your knowledge of buses.
You want to send yourself back to HG DEP for servicing?!~
at the same time update ur EDS?!

Soon there will be a bus terminal back at Potong Pasir...
NO NEED LAH 113.
But these people will say 113 sees more people than 101.
Something a little hard to comprehend.
Not quite sure if this afflicts 113 though, but its impossible to get onto 101 at all from and into Hougang Int when it rains. And even on normal days, the bus is packed, occasionally to the brim at certain sectors such as near HG Int and Kovan Stn.
Frequency slightly better now...but the irregularity has worsened. Same story also for many svcs.

Will PM you over 101's problem...

it’s the distance that is covering now, as it has to go longer to reach the int, then to hougang st 51, people prefer taking 325 now, to st 51.svc 113 sees more people than 101, but svc 113 u guys say is a feeder, a feeder bus must have many buses, so that people can board the bus every 5 minutes to the int/mrt, but 113 has a frequency of 12-18 mins, how can it called a feeder?
even 325 has a 8-10 min frequency, covering 12km with 7 buses,
svc 113 has a 12-18 min frequency, covering 16.8 km with 7 buses,
which is worser?
much more,
svc 101 has 8 buses, covering a 14.4km distance.
ppl prefer taking 101 from hg int instead of kovan mrt
btw, you should see 113’s situation when a full load of aunties/uncles taking the bus and boarding it to loop at st 11 and alight at their opp stop because got shelter.. same for 101 i guess.
Feeder buses fair should be frequent, but there's a minimum level before more buses should be added.
Say like Sv 269, 8 - 9 mins per bus should be e max.
