113 don't need DD or more bus...
They've to be fair.
It's not each n every bus svs that stands a fleet upgrade esp when other svs's capacity are running at like 70-80%?
Haha speaking abt this topic,i saw one Wright B9TL parking very long at Tampines Int just now with full svc 113A EDS.Haha!!And the bus went out of the Int off service after that still with the svc 113A EDS on.The BC didnt even change it at all.It looked very weird to see a DD especially a Wright with the svc 113A EDS.Hahaha!!

You don't intend to whine, but it really seems like you are.
Have you feedback this to you MP? If not please go down to Blk 117 and find him on Monday evenings.
That aside, why should 113 get DDs? Its a feeder service (don't talk about fare structure all those, look at the route and tell me who takes long distances, but wait, the route doesn't leave Hougang at all) and as with feeder services, people take short distances and are unlikely to move upstairs, after so many years (like 10 years) without a DD serving on 113/321. (you think people will be accustomed to a DD that quickly?).
Adding more buses will be a better idea, assuming it helps with the frequency. Commuters are happier seeing buses come every 5 mins even if its a SD than 10 mins with a DD. Look at 238, 241 and 291, they come very quickly, sometimes the next bus is already behind at the interchange, and the fact 241 and 291 uses DDs shows that the demand for these two feeders are much more than 113.
And a suggestion: Since 113 serves almost exclusively in Aljunied GRC (minus one stop in AMK GRC and one stop in Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC), why not ask PA take over since they like to take over things in Aljunied.

The PA nonsense, it's sad n bad...
Cos whenever I used to pass by Potong Pasir, the entrance has no fighting over the notice board. OK, fair the empty plot beside the CC or outside the police post.

Those days whatever svs could use DD, they would do so.
Even 35 had VO2x

Heck, 307 had VO2x before and now they aren't using bendies.

Since when travelling within a town constitutes as long distance travel meaningful to be considered trunk travel?
that's why ar... trunk & feeder concept is blurred alrdy.
Can someone reimplement this well loved concept again?
Look, why feed this thread?
For the umpteen time, 113 doesnt need anything more.
Period.
And I use 113 regularly and I dont see any problem with it.

And thats why we have 3 (294/357), 38 (220/290), 60 (226/385), 101 (extended 328), 112 (322/327), 113 (321/326). That was SBS 8-10 years back.
Eh for a low-medium capacity route to request for DDs is really ridiculous and incredible if the request is approved!
Threadstarter, did you check the loading factor for sv113 everyday at all times before you fire off your request?~
if you did, i salute you, if you did not , please do not make such a big hooha about sv113. it is nothing special, DDs are better utlised elsewhere on HG routes...
Y do i say that?!
Coz yest i was at SOTA bus stop, i waited for 28 mins for 3 single deck sv147 to come at regular intervals, 8445 8446 2659, 1st 2 cannot board, manage to squeeze on 2659 so shldn we cut 113 buses and split shift to 147 evening run to get more revenue[based on SBST reply on sv113's ridership]!?
that would allow SBST to get more revenue from sv147, more revenue means more profit so SBST would not anyhow increase fares!
The thread should change to "Petition for sv113 to cut scheduled buses & NO DDs should be allocated"
ACx
