Take a look at 45 & 53's loading at Lor Ah Soo today.
it's now nearer to take 45 & 53 to trf to MRT network from Lor Ah Soo

new hg int, now high demand for 113 though, people taking 45/53 90% get off at NEX/Serangoon MRT, 3 stops only < no dds needed.
What happens in future we cannot predict, especially it's no more the days you can pre-plan bus routes before a new town is developed based on the projected road network. We can only spot based on the integrated travelling network.
As for the schools, wonder where are the school clusters for 113? I sense PYMGS
Which I guess I've to say abt the student load.
There's 2 part to this issue. They carry bags, so it's impossible to see 90% loading. True, granted.
But often you dun see them moving in. Even on the MRT, everyone would just crowd around the exit or doors.

113 in the past, has 8 buses.After it became WAB, it has a fleet reduction to 7 buses.
W-A-B = Longer wait for buses?
Excuses for SBST to save more $ on petrol, so that passengers will think there are wheelchair passengers boarding every single bus, is that possible?
W = WAIT
A = AH
B = BUDOHS

Service 113 used to have 8 buses, correct. The fleet reduction of 680M actually took place somewhere in Dec 2009 which was actually 2-3 months before its WAB inplementation.
You are damn lucky, actually.
Hougang N1/2 (where 113/321 serves) has 3 other trunk services serving it. Some neighbourhoods have only 1 feeder (take Bedok North N5 for example), some have one trunk service which uses DD but takes forever to come (Bedok North N1 (Av 4), Sv 17). You have alternatives, other people don't.
And say you want to travel from Jurong East IMM to Jurong West, seems quite near if you are living at Jurong West N4 or N5, you are forced to take 502.

333 > 98/ 99/ 334 wo
feeder to feeder, next leg 3.2km fare cap...
To think of it, which is why should have feeder.. You cannot be having direct buses by making trunk going 1 big round, rather you make ppl take collective feeder bus make it frequent.

A bit painful to wait, board, alight, transfer and wait, board and transfer again ah, particularly when you are carrying groceries from Giant.
