Why need to increase their bus share? The current share they have is already poorly maintained. Not many people appreciate poor bus service standards. There might be more rail networks in future, most likely they might go to SMRT. I still prefer SBST to be fully concentrated on buses, and SMRT on rails, rather than this mess going deeper. Given the kind of management of it's operations and ruffled reputation it has now, better let the company scale down, or even better take over by ComfortDelgro or even Transcab.
Very true. tat wat i agree oso. SBS for bus & SMRT for MRT.
ppl complaining here are typical s'porean... being spolit by the government... expect the operators to be almost 100% reliable.. no offend. shld go overseas n c how unreliable their svc is.. eg, m'sia

not fast enough... unreliable... only 80 is direct, can only reach 1/25 of city...
sorry not complaining, but just hope SBS can improve just a bit.

why u keep insisting on SMRT take back SK/PG bus routes? if that is the case, SBST should take over BB/CCK routes first? since SMRT is operating the CCL.. SMRT is making losses in their buses operation. They wont be interested in getting more bus routes, except for those profitable one...which their CEO have mention before...

Seriously for our new town devt which is pretty unique, we just have to find our own way to improve the bus & rail svs.

Just ignore him. He rather take the incompetent to make the bus services even worst. Anyway, regardless of Northeast and Northwest bus services, they all belong to SBS. Most of the routes are planned by SBS route planners back then. I was disgusted that LTA/ MBT anyhow transfer bus services here and there. Still never mind due to the reason that transferring helps SBS to improve services and managing increasing loads for the other areas and the fact that TIBS managed the Northwest bus services pretty well despite some sacrifices for North areas. Now I feel that SBST is more shortchanged that they cannot get back their bus services in the Northwest and all the new rail networks giving to SMRT. Worst still, after taking over TIBS, bus services and taxis gone all the way down. It certainly feels that the Northwestern bus services are not only stolen but degraded and commuters there exchanged for a worse bargain after more than a decade.
whoever u r, it ok if u don like SMRT n no need to attack here. if yur area under SMRT u will understand how SMRT manage their buses/train.

Man.
You are hopeless.
But its ok.
I'm tired and I need some entertainment, though I must ask that you change your heckling a little before nobody bothers responding.

Actually no, ComfortDelgro is owned partly and directly by the Labour Movement through SLF, Temasek only owns part of its other machineries which in turn owns part of ComfortDelgro. People tend to forget about SLF, the third government tool for investment.
