why u keep insisting on SMRT take back SK/PG bus routes? if that is the case, SBST should take over BB/CCK routes first? since SMRT is operating the CCL.. Just ignore him. He rather take the incompetent to make the bus services even worst. Anyway, regardless of Northeast and Northwest bus services, they all belong to SBS. Most of the routes are planned by SBS route planners back then. I was disgusted that LTA/ MBT anyhow transfer bus services here and there. Still never mind due to the reason that transferring helps SBS to improve services and managing increasing loads for the other areas and the fact that TIBS managed the Northwest bus services pretty well despite some sacrifices for North areas. Now I feel that SBST is more shortchanged that they cannot get back their bus services in the Northwest and all the new rail networks giving to SMRT. Worst still, after taking over TIBS, bus services and taxis gone all the way down. It certainly feels that the Northwestern bus services are not only stolen but degraded and commuters there exchanged for a worse bargain after more than a decade. -

Want to compare, compare water melon with a water melon, not a water melon with a cherry. Sg govt says our public transport is world class, so compare with those that are world class. But as Acx1688 says, our so called "first class" is one of the worst among developed countries. -
Seriously for our new town devt which is pretty unique, we just have to find our own way to improve the bus & rail svs.

Yes, I do understand. And it became worse, much worse when TIBS was taken over. And especially worse when the bus fleet conditions worsen, bendy buses clog all over the areas in the bus interchange, and heavy utilized bus stops, etc. -

Actually no, ComfortDelgro is owned partly and directly by the Labour Movement through SLF, Temasek only owns part of its other machineries which in turn owns part of ComfortDelgro. People tend to forget about SLF, the third government tool for investment.
