Woodlands Depot usually Volvo B57/Albion Viking/LAs. That's where the Bus Assembly Plant used to be located as well and Sv 170 used to be under WDDEP.

The old SBS Woodlands depot was then closed down and shifted to the current Bt Batok depot if I remembered correctly.
When was the Ayer Rajah Bus Park (ARBP) opened?
Actually SBST should control Woodlands and SMRT Bukit Batok.

On 10th April 1984 - same date as HGDEP opening.

I see, thanks.
The Albion Vikings and Volvo B57s found on Buona Vista and Bt Merah bus services could be from ARBP then...

How about DM OF1417s and Soon Chow OF1413s???
Saw in some old pictures that the old 181 had DM OF1417s and Soon Chow OF1413s doing 169, old 182, etc...

ARBP usually accommodates buses that used to park along North Buona Vista Terminal & Holland Rd/Delta Rd Fringe Car Parks when it just opened.

They were also based there, mostly that depot used to handle SBS Woodlands Services.
I think the City side, BMR and BNV routes were from Alexandra (later Ayer Rajah) bus park. BBDEP mainly control northwest and CLE routes.

Was HGDEP the replacement for the old bus park @ Ulu Bedok? That might explain why BN and HG controlled BDK route group.

Where was this old bus park at Ulu Bedok on it current location now???
AMDEP - 6xxx Buses
ARBP / ALDEP - 1xxx Buses
BBDEP / WLDEP - 3xxx Buses
BNDEP - 4xxx Buses
HGDEP - 2xxx Buses
JRBP - 7xxx Buses
TPDEP - 5xxx Buses

It should be AMDEP getting 5xxx buses and BRBP/TPDEP getting the 6xxx ones.
Also, many 1xxx LAs came from BBDEP.

There was no AMDEP in the past. Previously there was Paya Lebar Depot (PLDEP), the successor of AMDEP.
The 5XXX series falls under PLDEP.
Where in Paya Lebar? Is it near Kim Chuan?

Yes, and anyway the Ulu Bedok Depot was based at Bedok Rd.

Paya Lebar Rd, just near Kim Chuan area..

Not far from present HGDEP.
Is it true that Braddell Bus Park is SBS oldest depot???

Wrong for Toa Payoh and AMK. The 2XXX were Bedok (not North) then Hougang, Toa Payoh was 6XXX and Paya Lebar's 5XXX which was then used for AMK buses.

Info from a friend who stayed at Bedok North in the late 60s-70s :-
"The current location of Anglican High School (end of Upper Changi Rd and Jln Tapisan Ayer, <<if you get hold of the older street directories you can find this road) was the location of the Old Bedok Depot and the Old Upper Changi Road 13.3 km bus terminal. Not sure if both combined though "
Another thing, was the name really 'Ulu' Bedok Depot? Because Ulu Bedok Village was located at around Chai Chee...
* Extra info > I've read from others stating that this old Bedok Depot was somewhere near Somapah, which I don't think is right (from the above story). What I can say was Somapah Terminal was at the junction of current Upper Changi Rd East & Simei Rd. I've seen it before.
SS
Somapah terminal not where the Expo station now stands?
Nope, not at the Expo. I still remember passing Somapah terminal while going towards Changi Pt. around yr 1985-87. Double confirmed by referring to the 1985 bus guide and bus map. No Simei Rd back then.
