If it is because of this, services 3, 34, 43 and 136 would not have declared WAB...
Originally posted by SBS5010P:my bc friend told me that service 84 will only operate 2 buses. At the frequency at 10-15minutes. Fleet same as service 284M. Buses will loop at punggol road end and go back to the interchange. Service 84 will be deployed with the current old mk lll buses. It will be on trial for 6 months, same as the ex- 181. The bcs can be from service 82 or 83. As 82 is looping @ serangoon central on w.e.f from 3 sept, i believe that svc 82 will cut fleet and 1 bus from service 82 might go to service 84. If i’m not wrong, service 82 will have the same BCs, not replacing them.
I believe service 84 will at most operate 1 AP + 1 S...

Services of similar mileage have a known minimum trip duration of about 22 minutes, assuming that the road to Punggol Rd End is pretty clear of traffic.

4 of these services have a second interchange. i have never seen PIWs in punggol interchange boarding these svcs.
it's one of the most open interchanges.
And, all Int are either BFA or are going to (Left with HBF & Toa Payoh).
Feeder services ain't popular nowadays.

Too little catchment area, tat's the problem.
Fair enough, Hougang onwards should be good enough actually.
As for feeders, no comments, but seriously feeder - trunk concept should be much better as long as in the cases of high loading neighbourhood zones. Same goes for places where the town centre's location is pretty lopsided.

that's just my opinion. we have not seen any new feeder services introduced in recent years, have we?

Hougang have too many services. I won't be surprised if they shoot themselves in their own foot by extending to Serangoon again.
Hougang...
How to put it when I decided to take a look at it... They want svs to ply Kovan, they want svs to ply using the old routing ways (there's a reason to it but hard to explain why)...
Even any changes made to it wun be that easy because it may have implications on some routing connection.

181 ended up got into last MRT extension, 241 came w/ 242's rationalisation.
Any case the real feeder services that'll likely to see new net introduction would likely be when Yishun or Woodlands's BTO flat completes.

indeed sv 241 was one of those new services yet they are merely a one-for-one replacement for JW N9 folks. sv 181 looks like it might turn into a true-blue trunk service that connects at least two towns, given the cul-de-sac at the looping point might get extended to somewhere else.
181's arrangement is likely to stay for a few yrs
Anyways tat road is supposed to lead to Corporation Rd
