The best bet is still 151/153->BTC->B/C, 151 or NEL->10.....provided the buses cooperate. They like to pull stunts.
maybe u can try NEL -> hop on any random bus -> hope for 10/188/200 (188 for opp kent ridge... dont think it's too far for you?)
now Distance Fares, must use to the max :D

WALAO EH!
I missed a lot of crucial bits.
10 is another troublesome service!
So what now? Try EWL->95 and get back to you?
I believe your time, Sv 10 got longer headways in bet buses by the time it reaches HBF. Thanks to Nicoll Highway traffic build up

Normally the BC will go so slow that I get 1 hr 30 min sleep.
Today another BC drove and took 55 minutes.
The following are sms sent to friends***
1556: At SIM Uni liao. Eta 5 10PM.
1613: Entering PIE. Crazy driver. Eta < 5 10PM.
1648: I reach HG Int liao. Where are you guys?
*******
Now you know why I can't stand 151 very often. The variability in journey time is a nightmare. Today I was early by 30 min. 2 days ago I was late by 45 min. And not all the time, its caused by "traffic conditions".
If the BC hadn't crawled from HG Ave 3 today, it would have been a record 40 min, I'm sure.
They dun even follow schedule.
All chiong...
But that said, problematic is at night. Sure lambat for real
So I succumbed to my lazy tendencies and took a gamble with 151 again.
Though strangely enough, there wasn't any jam at all.
So strange considering its lunchtime.
If I'm not wrong la
151's runtime should be 90 mins at abt 1538?
I have no idea.......
I took BTC->151 just now after a good dinner and a good chat with a friend.
Its the screechy but otherwise comfy 1995Z (I like 1956L best!).....was chionging along Bukit Timah when it kena overtaken by 2776H (dont like this bus...clutch engages too fast = jerky ride, and intense vibrations at higher speeds = misaligned axle)...so you can imagine how fast the bus behind went.
What did my BC do?
Crawl. All the way from entering PIE to HG Int.
Still, despite the best efforts of 2776H, both buses arrived at HG Int at the same time, illustrating traffic constraints at peak hour.

Same with the right turn to Tampines Rd
NP on holiday now la..

if NP do not make up a significant % in 151's clientele then what for have a schedule to cater the NP students when they are on holiday?Originally posted by sbst275:
That's why need to plan w/ diff situation also. There's always times NP, NUS & UniSIM are all in acad weeks.

then other buses in bay hold up how? The most is redux of 2 mins
No wonder why 151 BC like to play skipping bus stop stunt along Dunearn Rd. Even it's not a big, you still have to queue up with every other buses.
