Yeah exactly.The fire actually started out small at 1st.But we saw the bus still continuously moving with the fire at such a fast speed without stopping at all after that.Then when the BC suddenly braked the bus and tried to bring it to a stop at the busstop,we saw the small fire sparking off and very quickly spreading up to the engine and aircon compartment.And b4 we all knew it,the whole aircon and engine compartment at the rear was engulfed in the fire and burning like nobody's business.

At least better than not doing anything about it.
Old bus doesn't mean it is useless and must be scrapped.

i know, but its not like SBST will begin to have fleet shortages with one gone, there are some spare Wrights in AMDEP, they can quite easily make one perm on 166 ma. But now that they wanna repair it, by all means go ahead. I dun dislike VOs.

SBST now needs more double deckers.Wrights can be better depolyed on other services too...

Think only 69 of them, SBS9619H did not manage to get it as it was burnt before installed with EDS. Wondering whether the LECIP EDS on SBS7392Z belongs to SBS9619H?Cheers.

If it's a complete set for the EDS, it might be the one belonging to meant for 9619. But the rear EDS looks like a different unit, slightly bigger than the current ones on VO3X batch 3 buses.

Still they are slightly older than the O405G Hispano Habits, but I think the latter might be in worse shape. SBST in general had the edge where maintenance was concerned.
