Hi,Got some doubts here and thats the reason why i set this topic up,Hope will get some good answers,Thanks.
Service 7 used to be HG/BB,Then BN/BB and out of sudden why only BB Controlled? Its farestage and distance is more than justified to be dual controlled.
Service 8 i reckon its better to be sole BRBP.BRBP off service to BNDEP isnt that far either.28 & 31 i can understand,The loads and space constraints on both side.
Service 13 probably AMDEP to UEC isnt that far either then why service 45 has to be dual control?
Service 16 should be dual control.ARBP to BDK is quite a distance although they use AYE/ECP.
400/402 should be under ARBP.
Service that should be dual depot i reckon is 48,52,57,59,63,75,80,88,100,145,175,506,858,960,966,970 etc
What do you think?
my opinions about "48,52,57,59,63,75,80,88,100,145,175,506,858,960,966,970 etc"
- SV 48 should have been ARBP/BNDEP
- SV 52 should have been AMDEP/SLBP
- SV 57 should have been AMDEP/ARBP
- SV 75 should have included KJDEP
- SV 88 should include BNDEP (if applicable)
- SV 100 should have been HGDEP/ARBP
- SV 145 should have been ARBP/BRBP
- SV 858 should include AMDEP
- SV 966 should include AMDEP
- SV 970 should include WLDEP
SV 59, 63, 80, 175 506 960 no opinions
966 my case would be if 965 can go single why not 966?
The rest I have no issues.
i find that bus service shld b all dual ctrl closer to their respective int within SBST/SMRT territory but ten may b due to limited spaces? tat y some buses pk @ int overnite?
eg, 88 shld b under bedok & AMK - bus service within own sector
eg, 39 shld revert back to bedok & AMK - bus service out of own sector (yishun)
eg, 852 shld revert back to Kranji & AMK - bus service within own sector
eg, 965 shld revert back to Woodlands & AMK - bus service out of own sector (sengkang)
u all shld get wat i mean
If only all these comes true for some SBST services...
Note:
Services 86 and 136 will each have partial duties to HGDEP in exchange for service 159 and 163 partial duties to AMDEP.
Service 3 will swop its partial BNDEP duties with service 43 partial duties from HGDEP. This will benefit service 3 at Punggol side as well as service 43 from UEC side.
I also think that services 11 and 64 should go under BRBP too, since Eunos had went under BRBP in 2004.
Add on: Service 93 should also be made dual BRBP/ARBP.
For 3 BNDEP to Punggol is not that far,39 and 85 should be sole AMDEP.BN & HG to Yishun a bit far,AMDEP to Tampines and Punggol not that far,Then again AMDEP should reduce their partial control duties to other depot. Its better let HGDEP take back al l Eunos svc,BRBP takes St Mikes in return while 159 & 163 give back to BRBP.161 can say HG/AM....43 neh HGDEP to both side is nearer.86 is good to be under AMDEP.Punggol/Sengkang/Hougang to both AMDEP & HGDEP is nearer no need dual depot.93 qualify to be dual,Imagine ARBP OS to Eunos..11 & 64 Off service to HGDEP is much more nearer than BRBP.88 also same case.131,139 BRBP OD to BTM is not that far so justified to be single control.153 can say dual control but again ARBP parking lots is aint that big,Only 190 buses are allowed.BBDEP should control all Kent Ridge & Ghim Moh svc beside Clementi and partial Jurong East. They should take 78 in exchange for 198.192/193 and SMRT 180/187 should be looping at Boon Lay to reduce congestion at there.965 doesnt require many buses ans since its original starting point is at WDL so its ok to be sole control,But diff cases for 858 & 966,Although its a loop service but the distance and road condition it plies require for AMDEP to take some duties.858 AMDEP useful for 2nd and last bus terminate there and morning 1st and 2nd bus staring ditto for 966.81 should be in HGDEP purview.175 should be BBDEP/HGDEP.

If 858 really were to go AMDEP control, I would prefer 855 to come over though, but only the first few blocks, Like WLDEP 171.
2cents worth:
If Geylang depot can be utilised as there is a pump station there...
Most of the city services or close to the city centre svcs should just stay base their 1st 2nd/3rd buses there for over night parking, save petrol and resources...

Technically Upp East Coast/Bedok/Tampines can be single control from AMDEP as the OS distance is not that far.I wonder if 45 can be BN/AM why not 13?506??If BN are packed with svc then it can reduce duties for svc like 30,33,196,197 etc and even can give 81 to HGDEP.
Originally posted by SBS8675B:I would think that it will be better off for all the Eunos routes to go back to HGDEP controlled once again. Services 85, 159, 163 go under full AMDEP in return as well as partial service 161’s duties. Whereas the St Michaels routes will all go under BRBP controlled.
and why should they ?
