Really redundant,The loads are too poor,Might as well operate normal ones better.
It would have been better for 961 to enter Marina Centre daily, hence there'll be direct bus link to Chinatown.
As for 925, Sg Buloh Nature Park would become w/o public bus on weekend
It would be even better if 961C can passby Suntec City also.
why the EDS of the weekend service nvr show any change in the number?

actually the journey time for chinatown people who want to go beach road will be lengthened by 5 to 7 minutes if it goes in for every trip.
think of 70M, 123M, 133M, 162M, 163M, 170(jb-kotaraya), 182M, 284M, 853C
123M is like feeder service, will be gd to call at additional bus stop along jln membina.
133M, really don really needed, most of its route r serve by 97, 106, 133
162M - gd to convert it to full day service & 162 servce shenton way is not needed due t parallel to 167 from upp thomson - shenton way sector
163M -former 371 route, i believe oso don really needed since it runs parallel to 163
182 - may b its gd to call @ tuas checkpoint every trip,
170 - don think tis route is really needed as it run parallel to 160, CW1, it only help 160/CW1 passenger load
284M - i believe don really needed wen new clementi int open
853 will be gd to ply upp east coast on all days
redundant route will be 115 & 275.
oso SMRT can covert 825 to full sat route instead of becoming 529 & pay more.
925C shld become full day route to cover the kranji dam sector & 925 don U turn anymore to shorten the journey.
925C extend to Sungei Buloh only on wkend

A lot of ppl thinking 170 is redundant.
Take a ride and you realised the passenger profile for Bugis, Bt Timah & Woodlands.

my 170 mean 170(woodlands-kotaraya) route. sry for misunderstanding.
i beliveve 170 frequency had been adjusted since launch of CW2, its not like last time, bus come every 1-2 min.
i took 170(woodlands-kotaraya) many times from JB - Woodlands & vice versa. don really think its needed unless morning & evening peak

133M operates only during evening hours during weekends.
70M & 162M is needed. I don't see why must 70M and 162M be converted to full day service.
163M only operates in the early morning and nearly before midnight.
170 (Blue) is needed to relieve loads.
182 needs time to go between Tuas South and Jurong West Estate via Tuas Checkpoint. Without it plying there, I think the waiting time will be shorter.
284M I think it can replace 284 already.
853 it is also good to go Upp East Coast at all times.
Why 115 is not needed? It can bring passengers to the hawker centres at Hougang St 21 and take them back without having to cross the roads.
131 and 275 looks like duplicating, but someone refused to withdraw 275 due to their frequency difference.
529 can be replaced by 825 with 529's operating times becoming a part of 825's operating times.
925C I think it could be extended to either Lim Chu Kang or Choa Chu Kang Cemetries.

Have you used your brain before? Sometimes 170 (Blue) have its trips diverted to Larkin instead of Kotaraya for what?

Like 107M?
think about it. the only reason why a route runs parallel to another route is to compliment the demand and achieve better frequency.
doesnt take rocket science to figure this out.

Eh
There's no pt for all 170 to do full route.
There's some time slot that 170X's appearance is needed during off peak, henceforth might as well operate the full day.
Then at night, M'sian pax are simply lazy to cross the bridge to take bus.
1-2 mins? Seriously, at this rate lots of buses are only going to get stucked at the CIQ.
CW2's freq isn't good to begin with, during low demand hrs freq is 35 mins a bus.

133M is more like MRT bridging, when CCLe opens it might be gone.
284M for ppl heading to NTUC. But return leg makes it pretty no logic.
115 is goodwill service.
275 can stay, trunk/ feeder issue.

In the long run, CBD bus svs has to be rationalised.
925C cannot chop. I still need it to go Hausmann Fish Farm beside Sg Buloh which is like long long go once .

133M - true
284M - may b terminate aft int open like i say
115 - may b betta to intergrate 115 & 119
131/275 - same fare of $0.71 if u take from int to bt purmei
i rmb tat USED to b SBS poster saying 11, 115 & 275 will be terminate, somehow the idea was scrap & it got to stay. svc 11 lucky to stay.. imagine ppl walk from kallang MRT to stadium MRT.

true. c wat happen wen CCL open fully on 8 oct & DTL open in future...
Well, the MRT should not get into the place of trunk bus route rationalisation.
Cos e out lying towns like Bt Merah isn't well served by MRT.

the idea of integrate 115 and 119 might make better efficiency on 119? longer route will prompt them to drive faster

i think 170X is not redundant at all. during off peak hours, the load is acceptably high than other service, due to the fact that 160 170(normal) CW2 comes once in a while.
170 frequency has rised from ~8mins to 15mins nowadays
in its heyday, SBS advertised every 3 mins per bus from Kranji (160 170B 170R)
now, its like every 8mins per trip ex-Kranji
me very long never take an ex-Kranji 170 liao.. cos the freq is more to 15mins/bus..
taking 178 to sengsong and walk up is much faster, sadly..
ok.. lets not OT too much.. this is about 925C and 961C ...
925C (and 91), i dont know why is sungei kadut not served at night and on sundays, PHs, despite the size of the ind. estate and poor accessibility.. even JIEs operates 365 days a year

Cos 170X now allows boarding Os Kranji. Few takers would cross the bridge these days.
Ever saw a packed 170X into CIQ from Kranji while a 160 tat arrived prior to that has only 4 passengers onboard.
In any case for 170 it's pretty epic. 13 mins is pretty ok as travelling pattern has really changed ever since the JB CIQ shifted.
925 I believe the take was because in the past, not many ppl would access tat place for it's mostly concrete and timber industries. I believe it has changed for there are dorms and furniture showrooms.
Then I believe feeder bus should appear from Yew Tee.
really a waste of resources that 170X has to loop at turf club/BKE/ave3.. should just loop immediately and rest at kota raya or sheng shiong.. so many times Kranji so many long queues, the ex-JB buses still have time to make the large loop round BKE
and that it has to make the U-turn after the cemetery.. waste another 5mins
