did YOU even TAKE A LOOK at it b4? if not then STOP CRAPPING ARD without proof.
But what's the overall loading figure? 179, 179A can go to 25,000 on a busy day in 18 hrs...
Crap around? You've not seen how long bus queues can go and everyone just queue and wait.
Like I've said, with bendies it's even worst. Dun the sawtooth berth has to cater for 2 other bus services? So those commuters make them wait 20 - 30 mins for 1 bus to cater to you?
Selfish isn't it?
You can say I'm crapping, now you're the selfish one. I think if that's the case, the 2 other bus gets 4 mins freq, make 913 board from the road. Happy?

End of all these you still ask buses[in]gapore! to talk to senior mgmt

You think SMRT is that responsive?
I've seen the train forum saying abt SBS & SMRT even..
Sorry to say, from my dealings with SBS & SMRT... SMRT is the real problematic company. Commuters feedback on problems they can just ignore.
Say this afternoon, I saw CCL 'One North' SWT displaying ending pt 9... Wait, is One North a MRT terminal?
I've wrote abt the thing abt Paya Lebar 2 yrs ago, yet SMRT decides to ignore my feedback and there's no reply.
They think they know best...
Look man, this guy says 88 has a fleet of Striders.
Nuff said.

88 never had a single perm Strider.
I already told you if 88 had a Strider even during that period of time, I would have gone to buy 4D.

Tot when 88 introduced, DDs of Batch 3 VO3X SBS9613 - 9620 was assigned?!~ it even koped my 196 BN VO3X batch 2 until my 196 fleet got downgraded...
88 cash cow, SBST decide to squeeze the cow n put slightly more SDs like O405s, MKIVs, DM3500s...

Yeah....I still remember when the new-new Superbus appeared on 88.....I thought it was the one of the nicest thing I had ever seen.....the big 88 desto and the Superbus logo on top. Man, I miss those days. In those days, the VO3X Batch III were really considered to be coolest DDs on the roads. And after putting up with BCs exasperatedly telling my mum they had not enough BCs to assign to 88 and were given NAC Scanias and 0405s, MKIV DMs, and new-new MKIV DM3500 (NO STRIDERS) and some MKIIIs, this was really god-send.
Beginning days only the Batch III assigned...then Batch II progressively assigned.....ads then were very nice too. The Home United ad.....the Megan Classic ad....the Motorola ad etc etc. Soon after, LO3X entered the fleet. I don't recall 9614T being part of the fleet for the majority of the time, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't part of the fleet throughout the mid 2000s. Other Batch IIIs joined the growing DD fleet as well....like 9630, 9632, 9638, 9642.
88 is still one of my favourite service....frequency is good, the buses maintained well, and its one of the faster trunk routes.
Contrast that to 72 and you'll see why I stopped taking 72 after the mid 2000s. Poor night-time frequency, and slow driving simply makes my travel time longer than necessary. And for some reason, any bus that goes to 72 simply falls to pieces soon after.....I don't know why. Maybe cos Tampines Rd is a little dusty? My fave DD 9580J went to the dogs the moment it went to 72 from 88.

ahhh... 9580. it was wicked when it did 168! jin fast.
for 72....... if you get an Indian driver, you...... might have a good chance of a fast bus ride.

Yeah...9580J was very wicked indeed.
Its one of those VO3X capable of flying if it had wings.
Once it went to 72..............the lock-up spoilt.....turning it into a squealing and roaring VO3X that barely moved.
I don't know if that's coincidence or what. Nor do I know if its been fixed yet since.
72's PM off peak freq is really terrible..
But I think they've added more trips during the transition period
to be honest, ever since the troubles started, hardly you get quicky replies le...

like how i complained abt 163 WAB issue.
WAB svs are in liaise with VWO
Feeders svs are in liaise with grassroots..
Usually, what more is discussed by me is fleet deployment, trunk routing and infrastructures...

Really terrible is a terrible understatement.
I don't really know what to make of it though. 72's weekday afternoon frequency is good. Good to the point where the DDs are running around empty.
Its weekday late-morning frequency is terrible. To the point where sometimes no DD = mati.
Its weekend frequency is also nonsense. And good luck to you if you had gone shopping till past dinner-time at Tampines and attempt to take 72 (I would take train to Pasir Ris and jalan-jalan at White Sands and take 88 instead...must be more productive!).
Its been like this for donkey years. Anyone care to explain why?

May have to trace what shift line-up they've arranged for 72...
Suspects there's a number of E shifts around.
And the worst part is how terribly slow the majority of the 72 BCs drive...........
After a 15-20 min wait, you can get to "enjoy" another needless 15 minutes longer ride.
You would have to be a tourist, and without a plane to catch to enjoy taking 72.
In short, I can never stand taking 72.
wrong thread
Amusing how no-one mentions 74. It goes through what is pretty much the most crowded places in Singapore, and goes past...at least 12 educational institutions in its route. I have taken as little as 25 min to go from Dover to MacRitchie, to as much as 3 hrs. Frequent bunching up, too many SD....just give it WEG or CDGE la...get rid of all that 170 trash that is now handed down
Amusing how you do not bother reading the previous pages.

Big shot constantly complaining and reporting to SBS senior mgmt directly non-stop causing everything here to be monitored and information getting tightened. Mark Chua want Wright get Wright want Citaro get Citaro
