Saw a VO3x B1 recently on 65, using the Tampines WTC destination desto.
In addition also a Vo2x on Sv 182, using "Boon Lay 182 Tuas" desto. Not sure if its an ancient one, iirc, i've never seen that before.
87 also have quite a few.
Cheers.
165 and 147
well... whats the hoo-ha?
most of the double decks are still using such destos, although most had disappeared..
those on single decks will be special (except 160 170)
65 WTC will be the special ones
182's been using it since it started using VO2x
91, 182 are the special ones
I think 2, 7, 12, 14, 65, 132, 147, 154, 198 are still using such destos. There's more
Those with the 'Aircon' side wording would be unique.
hahaha

sv2 none, sv12 very very rare.
Toa Payoh Int 143 Jurong East Int
TOA PAYOH 157 BOON LAY
Boon Lay 179 NTU
Boon Lay 182 Tuas
BOON LAY 198 BUKIT MERAH
192,193 front desto w/destination disappear when change to new font
99,196 getting more front desto w/o destination
They should at least indicate the end destination or looping location.
Least people know. But that said, people would still need to know how it plies

if u look at brbp ones, none of such destos are used anymore by them.
last time was common, now such destos are rare.
particularly on certain svcs.
some svcs don't even use the old destos alr.
some things to share:
some old services never had words on the destos at all: 70, 98, 107, due to diff routes
this 65 desto is probably the only number to use the FF Meta font, and has the full details of the route. however, 85's version only shows the destinations without the route details. also, this desto uses the standard case, rather than all upper case letters
143's
this most infamous one
74's.... got replaced very quickly by the FF meta versions.. surprisingly. the 7 and 4 are placed very very closed together..
165's 1st gen desto, used by the VO2x.. however, the VO3x used those with thicker fonts
No one mentioned services 160 and 170?
Service 170 had been using this desto since its NAC days. Even though 170 was officially converted to FAC, the same front desto and the side green/white desto remained in use thruout. When service 160 was reintroduced in 2004, the destos for 160 follow the same format with 170.
Notice that services 91 and 191 are still using the old destos once in a while. Kind of nostalgic.
Still remember those days when SBS used those front destos with destinations in the 90s for standard NAC buses, side desto green/white. Whereas for aircon buses, front desto with "AIR CON" was printed on the left side of the service no, side desto red/blue. It was only in 2000, SBS decided to standardalise all the destos to red/white for side, while front just show the service no (regardless of AC or NAC).
think this thread is about DDs destos
285 also had a VO2x desto (narrow fonts, like 165)
for SDs, 78 91 160 170 191 225 282 284 400 in recent history
2007 pic: also the last such desto i saw personally
There's a 182 destination desto if im not wrong whereby it showed jurong east and tuas. (its ex route)
Used on a merc before iirc. Heh hope it gets taken out to be used on some SD cameo!
