if 28 can do it in tampines, why cant 105....
there are many towns where the trunk services make a big round in the town before calling at the interchange...
Tampines : 8, 28
Bedok : 14
PSR : 518
SBST needs to make 105 go the long way......
8? not really...
the others? yes...

Svc 8 also can say is quite a long round in Tampines b4 it ends at Tam Int.It can turn left from Tam Ave 1 to Ave 5 and go straight to the Int.Instead it plies the full length of Tam Ave 2,then plying a short portion of Tam Ave 7 b4 ending at Tam Int.But if u compare it with svc 28,obviously svc 28 is way so much longer.

Haha well said there!!
One week left to experience the old interchange! Especially it being open-aired.
Really going to miss it, being it was there ever since i was born. Still remember boarding the 106 leylands that parked at the end on berths, non a/c Mark IIs on 107 and even the bendies on 106!

Berth allocations came from the published picture on 25th Aug 2011 edition of The Straits Times.

Still remember when 158 was using Albion Viking; 100, 101, 105 & 107 were using Mercedes-Benz OF1417; 72, 312, 315, 317 & 318 were using Mercedes-Benz OF1413; 104 & 106 using LA & O305. I still remember the Burger King Restaurant just beside the exit, always patron after my school tuition. Those were the days. 100 is still using the same old berth as of 20 years ago.
Cheers.

Same goes for service 980 at Sembawang side. Along Sembawang Drive, 980 can just turn straight into Sembawang Vista and straight into the interchange. However in Dec 2006, 980's route was extended to make a further detour via Admiralty Drive and Canberra Rd before turning back to interchange.

Was service 158 under BNDEP it the past when it plied to Bedok? Just wondering.
Service 105 if I remember correctly was under BBDEP in the 80s. Remember Volvo B57s and Albion Vikings when introduced in 1988, followed by Volvo MK2 WAs when brand new in 1989. Then suddenly 105 became full fleet Merc OF1417s in 1990 (likely depot transfer from BBDEP to AMDEP).
If I am not wrong, service 106 also had Leyland Victory as well in the 80s too. Service 106 might be under AMDEP or TPDEP, then majority BBDEP in 1988(??) and then full AMDEP again in 1990.

Leyland Victory Soon Chow bodied you mean? I think there are some IIRC. I still remember took a short body OF1413 on 315 when I was young, at that time feeder services only 15 cents!
Cheers.

Yes, Leyland Victory SC on 106 in the 80s.
Service 158 if u mentioned that they were Albion Vikings, I believe it must had been from HGDEP. I remember HGDEP used to control a number of Bedok routes as well in the 80s, eg services 7, 25, 26, 33, 40, 41, 197, 226 etc.
158? That one had OF1417 NZMBs. It used to terminate @ TPY in the past.

Not to mention routes 9 & 66.
Back to topic, why is 82 looping @ S'goon Ctr? It makes better sense if 82 + 107 merged to form 107 (PGL to Shenton Way).
