Hoh seh riao
CCL's freq will be a problem of its own
Peak hrs ops details
3.5 mins bet One North & Paya Lebar
7 mins bet HarbourFront & One North, Paya Lebar & Dhoby Ghaut.
7 mins freq for NUS students, Mapletree Biz City.. SMRT
Like tis 92, 95, 200 may continue to see good business
LTY's office Pasir Panjang CCL Station will be served by 7 mins peak hr freq...
I wonder why YCT no more a MP...
He should have a feel of 7 mins MRT freq (3 carraige train) meant to replace buses at all cost as the transport ministar.
I'm sticking to 151 or NEL->10/30/143, thank you very much.
Now we know why SBST timed the fleet upgrade of 95/96 to be late. They wish to compete with SMRT's CCL and my guess is that this tactic is likely to work. Kent Ridge and Haw Par Villa aren't close to NUS at all....and the internal shuttle can barely handle the loads if you try to get to Kent Ridge Station.
And I don't think CCL would have what you would consider very low loading.
Well for CCL, Paya Lebar & S'goon seems to have significantly higher loading.
But seriously it still makes no sense for SWTs on CCL, bet the City leg ppl are kpkbing about the waiting time and the loaded trains.
Haven't I said the mess created by SMRT itself w/ the lunchtime express? Trains never get to see 3 - 4 mins headways one.
At first I thought with CCL, SBST might choose to cut trips for 95/96.
I don't think they are going to do that now. Good chance to make money at SMRT's expense in fact.

92 also
& Pasir Panjang corridor, the buses may still e get biz w/ such peak hr MRT freq
Ah. I forgot. The big big jams outside NUS at peak hour....and within NUS.
Heng ah.
I don't come that way...like I used to. The jams are horrid.
Pasir Panjang Rd remains the best bet.
65 more days to go
Sv 10, 30, 92, 95, 143 & 200 likely to get good business.
But can't say much for Sv 51. I guess the Queenstown leg might be amended to ply straight.

It should not be amended. Service 51 is the only link between Queenstown MRT and Queensway (C'wealth Ave - Alexandra Rd).

Sv195 don't ply Queensway (C'wealth Ave - Alexandra Rd).
NUS internal shuttle does not call Kent Ridge station.
Any case, thing is there's more svs available at C'wealth Stn to Queensway if any MRT - bus transfer were to be mentioned.
It's not totally impossible they'll do it to 51, with it being a long distance route.

Service 51, most probably LTA will cut it into two, but not changing the Queenstown MRT - Queensway sector of the route, otherwise the only link will be lost.
51 i think will get the same fate just like the old 97.probably SL side from JE-Looping at town area and HG side a new svc from HCI looping at town area also.
7 mins for peak is overkill liao somemore with 3 carriage only.4 mins is appropriate..Off peak 8 min can close 1 eye

65 is not really affected by Circle Line, the big thread is Downtown Line. Cause Tampines to Jalan Besar got Downtown Line, Dhoby Ghaut to Orchard got NSL. Only Orchard to Harbourfront section not directly covered by MRT. Not really big involvement for Circle Line. (Harbourfront, Dhoby Ghaut, MacPherson) Don't know if you agree.
llst, only 32 trains purchased
SWT + 7 mins freq taking up 29 trains
