Hope a desto holder can be affixed onto those assigned onto 170 full route.
I suspect a few Striders will be perm on 160.170 to complement the DM3500s.
Will 170 be using green font-on-white background rectangular side destoes on the Mk IVs?
note 2707H is not JB registered as stated in sgwiki
Good riddance, now where are the Mk IIs?

likely to be the typical Green/ White plates

Yes. We will really miss the MK3s when they had all been de-registered.
By the way, the MK3 on 191 has an old desto which state the destination on both directions. I saw such a thing on SBS2692R on 275 with the old desto about 2 months ago.

They had already gone to the scrapyard.

I think he is referring abt the MK3s not the MK2s.He must have wrongly typed it.The MK2s were alr scrapped 3 years ago when they retired.
I meant the Mk IIs, obviously people dint get it.
If you had taken the Mk IIs on 170, you would realise they were way better than the Mk IIIs. The 170 bus in my memory will always be the Mk IIs.

When i think of MK2s, it often reminds me of their bright interior because of their non tinted sliding windows. Acceleration is pretty good too and the best was the fresh air it bought into the interior especially in the morning along bukit timah.
Although the engine was quite loud and their doors became pretty loose in the final years, it was really a joy to ride in one.
SBS779M (Former BB 160)

i tink u're r among e very minority who think that way.
The trend nowadays is EDS bro,Even some of Malaysian public buses start using that.Look awkward to see modern buses like the B9TL using plastic destos..
Haiz
last time MK2
now MK3
oh well it time for the MK4 to help out
