If you claim you have a photo which in turns act as proof of evidence that the production MAN buses are Gemilang bodied, i am truly, utterly disappointed with SMRT Buses. The demo MAN with MCV Evolution bodywork to me is a stepping stone. At least, SBS Transit have their Wright bodied B9TLs and if SMRT Buses went ahead with MCV Evolution for their production MAN buses, we get to see two different types of European bodywork after a long absence. Unfortunately, i can't seem to comprehend the fact that they chose Gemilang after 1100 Scania K230UBs and 134 Mercedes Benz OC500LE to prove that Gemilang bodied buses aren't exactly the way to go for city buses, especially if the chassis are good quality ones, but bodied by cheap quality Asian made bodywork. Well, i suppose it all boils down to cost cutting measures and profits at the end of the day. Can't say much for SBS Transit. At least, they're willing to invest in double deckers with good quality European bodywork and even a mass purchase of the world wide popular: Mercedes Benz 0530 Citaro, despite the fact SMRT trialled one bus and subsequently, bought only 10 miserable units. Sigh......
It shld be Gemilang bodied according to sources. :D

Then it'll look the same as MAN NL273 bus in Discovery Bay Hong Kong, since it's bodied by Gemilang. Very much alike as our KUB.

wonder if the interior would be similar to the OC500Les if it's really bodied by Gemilang.
previously there's this quite old thread about edited pics of buses and someone photoshopped the SMRT livery onto SBST's "precious" K's. That may give u an idea of what it may look like, but which post is it? i forgot~

Currently, we can confirm that SMRT has ordered 200 MAN NL323F buses, equipped with 320hp engine, same as our SMB138Y.
Bodywork wise is still unknown, but it is said that SMRT ordered 200 complete buses...

But i still find there is flaws in the MAN bus, the granny seat on both side seems quite uncomfortable with only 1 strip for the butt sitting and 1 strip for the back rest. Y not make it like the EEV K with the whole piece. And also the one on the door side, is really very tight in space i cant even squeeze in. Overall i think the granny seats are too low and cramp if young ppl were to sit there when there is no elderly around. haha

SMRT alway ordered complete buses....even for the OCs, i would think it is C&C who liaise with Gemilang on the assemblying of bodywork, instead of SMRT.
The new MAN NL323F is bodied in Gemilang, with a MAN Lion's City front, EDS looks Mobitec-ish, rims look ALCOA-ish.
