And it does not make sense for SMRT to use WAB vehicles on 950, because the route will probably never be WAB certified until much later.
If they really wanted to increase capacity by crush loading people into the standee areas, why not use the UMW Lance? It has more seats than a OC, and just as much area to stand. Feels just as powerful, and its proudly made in malaysia.

Its licensed capacity is abt the same, either more seats or more standee.
But OC500LE can still take in more than 90, when you squeeze a little more which is possible.
UK Lance is the best candidate..Refurbish 100% woila can use another till 3 more years till rot

In reality have you seen any OC carrying 90?
SMRT OC500LE and Volgren started ply on 950 as of today. Same for DM3500s on 160.

i believe most of those u have seen are the new perms.

I don't see a problem with 171's fleets but I feel due to the aging fleets they should get OCs on a common basis instead of giving 0405 cameos (I have no opinions over this) on a full day basis.

I think these buses have become perms on 950 already since the box rigids on 950 had been redeployed to replace the missing Volgren O405s' slots.
All Hispano O405s have been de-registered from SPAD.

very good, cross border travel will be more comfortable in the future. but causeway link's buses are getting old and dirty with their standards of maintenance
I forsee SBST will throw in Batch 1 KUBs as well in future if they decided to retire the B10Ms early.
Originally posted by carbikebus:I forsee SBST will throw in Batch 1 KUBs as well in future if they decided to retire the B10Ms early.
SBST should throw in KUBs now already since that the B10Ms will retire sooner or later, as KUB can do cross border service for at least 13 years before registering new buses again. Like in the past when the MK3s are new, the cross-border MK2s are replaced by them.
Yay SMRT left my fav. OCs out of the JB list... (SMB124L, SMB133K, SMB119C)
I dun really like seeing buses younger than 6 yrs do cross border sia... Like go there take damage become cui only... The AC7 at yishun already damaged liao, got one OC (think is SMB98D) already resemble O405 with CapaCity front sia....

Goodbye Hispano O405s from svc 950.
TIB966X is finally out...on 178 today.

Can't SBS and SMRT stop being so cruel to Sengkang...
you have 3 options. One - get yourself a personal transport. Two - Move somewhere where new/your favourite buses are. Three - suck it up.Originally posted by SMB128B:Can't SBS and SMRT stop being so cruel to Sengkang...
