Nope. Their de-registration date is about less than 10 months starting from now, Especially the 447C-466Y batch.
And speaking about OCs, 171 should start getting full day OC cameos from WLDEP on a frequent basis as of now. Pretty much irrelevant but I feel it's time.

- They should rest? You never see any of the 2 bus company registering new buses to the road on the day where the old one de-reg?
- Why 171 should start getting full day OC cameos? Full OCs fleet are just a waste. You won't expect every single bus will be picking up wheelchair people don't you?

In which post did I state (that) they needed rest? All I've stated that their de-registration period is less 10 months starting from now.
And secondly, OC cameos from WLDEP to play as standby incase any 1 of the 6 doesn't get to stay.
Close to 17 years now, less than 17 years I can accept but not now. You expect 171 to keep hogging on to the O4's in 2013 (If WLDEP still controls 171)? What a joke man.

No, I've never meant that way, but it can't stay this way forever. Citaros from WLDEP I haven't seen one yet, WLDEP OCs are already quite hard to see on 171, I'm not sure who did full day before given WLDEP's starter are quite slow I feel most probably they will start off with OCs before moving on to citaros.
The OCs that WLDEP has from the depot transfer last time out is enough to give WLDEP 171 for full day OC cameos, Or you still want more?

the OCs are just barely enough for Sv858/950...... 22 OCs in WLDEP... ten will go to Sv950... left 12 for Sv858... still want the OCs to cameo frequently on Sv171?

Anyway, WLDEP pasted the stickers for OC500LE a little high(black part) that it looks weird.

950 isn't a certified WAB service yet, so I would prefer the volgrens to do the job and let 171 have the OCs, and not forgetting the new buses coming in, and old buses coming out.
It is not that I keep knocking hard that 171 should get OC cameos from WLDEP. But considering the 0405's lifespan aren't getting younger by day especially TIB496K and 497H less than a year left, 577K about 13 months and the rest having 15 months left, I feel it is time.
Extension whether or not we will see, I don't wish to speculate.

You may think the demand for 950 is there but have you ever thought about how the WCB students there feel? Especially for schools like NYGH , HCI and NJ (for 171's case where WLDEP buses are those 04s?)
Imagine you are a WCB-Student and you see 6 non WAB buses on a WAB service passing straight at your face how would you feel? If you are referring to those service with high pax. Sorry if I mis-read.

Ask you first, do those schools have a lot of WCB students that are taking the public transport? Any complains about it recently or before? And I am referring to services like 960 with higher pax.

Even if they do complain, they can only do it sliently and blame it on their luck. They don't like to be born it that way but it cant be helped. Do you think they will go on and rant in the public about their fate? And no, I would like to end it here because this is getting nowhere.

sv171 dosen't really need OCs, they only need more rigid 0405s and better frequencies. -

There's no issue with what OC carry more people. Its licensed capacity is abt the same, either more seats or more standee.
