That's right. I'd never been able to take Scania K310UD anytime.
Originally posted by service_238:which trip is this? the peak trip for this DD slot is the 0810hrs trip from Sengkang and probably the 1730+ departure from toa payoh...
If you're talking about the 1630 departure from Sengkang, arrival around 1730. I think its pretty okay frequency wise. This was observed about a week ago. About 8 minutes from front bus 969G. BC chionged all the way to TPY, upper deck about 10 people max only.
But return trip to sengkang around 6 plus at ST electronics, confirm full pax all the way to the door. I think DD was called in for this reason.

All thanks to those services that downgrade from DD to SD.
Then the company shouldn't have bought so many DDs for the services when they don't even know that the service doesn't even need DDs.

I took the bus and was pretty impressed by it.
Has the performance and comfy feel. Very solid chassis IMO.
I've took it a few times, a very nice bus. Really hope SBST can consider buying some.
Cheers.

Cheers.

In 2007,there is one time 156 DD and also one time 285 and 284 have Mercedes-Benz O405 model. The only one time,I was overwhelmed when I saw that.Anyway that was in 2003-2004 matters already.

I have 9611D 285 dated 1 Nov 2004, not very long after DDs were introduced back on 285, as well as 9217J dated 8/9/23 Nov 2004.Originally posted by Engboki:You sure 2004 285 DD?:))At that time,I did not see it yet.erm..maybe one or two not nothing.after that during morning and evening peaks got 3-4 DD bus

What model was that???
Air con or not???
Originally posted by SBST163:Actually i find there's something wrong with the timings for SBS9669M.
The other time I took this bus from Sengkang Interchange.
The bus came just less than 2 mins after the previous single deck 163 left the interchange.
Ended up, this bus caught up with the single deck 163 at Fernvale Ave.
After which, this 9669 began to drive damn damn damn slow such the distance between both buses became further and further.
Not to mention, the whole double deck bus is almost empty, because most of the passengers boarded the single deck 163 just right in front.
I thought this was just a 1 time incident so I didnt really take it to heart.
The other day, I was waiting for a bus at a bus stop at Yio Chu Kang Road.
I saw a single deck 163 at the opposite bus stop passing by
less than 2 mins again, this same double deck came to the same bus stop.
This time, this double deck is empty. (from what i see lah)
So this gives rise to qns what's the objective of putting a double deck in 163 when the frequency is so short between this bus and the before in front and it does not really pick up any passengers?
Hopefully the 2 incidents only happened once in a while.
Same problem as 151.
I also have no idea why the morning DD leaves right after the previous K230UB....and then with the downroute at Bukit Timah, the bus stays virtually empty the entire trip.
Both services also have their DDs deployed during non-peak hour although my guess was that it was to "ferry" the DD back to the depot, or to hit peak hour traffic from the destination. That was observed on 151....but the only times I have seen DDs on 163 is at night or weekends. Granted, I was working, so these were the only times I saw the DDs. But to see them anyway was quite .
Crudely speaking regarding DD deployments on 163 and 151, DD gam pui?
Here's a pic of 151's DD from on board at 8AM leaving HG Int.
What a joke.

time to complain that sv151 DDs are underutilised throughout.
isn't 151 more of a downstream demand sv?
Trellis Tower is one of such high loading bus stops for 151, w/ ppl from Bishan, Toa Payoh, Bedok Reservoir fighting for boarding?
Yes and no.
Refer to thread for more detailed rantings.
If I already feel that 151 with its large and unpredictable loading doesn't need DDs, why should 163 even get a scent of it?

27 ??? Don't have to think about it. Is all due to the airport terminal height ans space constraint
everyone knows that, just like 16 at merdeka bridge. that's why sbs added the frequency of 27, and so far it's working fine.
might consider DD in 27A though
