My guess being Service 14, 147, 166, since they run parallel with the MRT from Dover MRT, it is unlikely for people to transfer to the MRT anyway. . -
Can only say the bus stop might be upgraded for all bus svs.

More ppl transfer along Commonwealth Ave than along North Bouna Vista Rd.
Only 92 does not stop along Commonwealth Ave, so there's no point to build a bus-bus hub/ staggered bus stop there.
Another possible place is Opp Orchard MRT (Orchard Boulevard). They recently pulled down a tree just after the bus stop.

Below is the list of jams near Clementi area or Bukit Batok and Jurong area.
Jams in Singapore(Clementi-Jurong area)
1)Clementi Avence 6 from PIE to AYE (Weekdays Morning only)
2)Clementi Avence 6 from AYE and Commonwealth Ave West to PIE (Weekdays Night only)
3)Commonwealth Ave West to Clementi Avence 3to CP 20(Jam all the way to Clementi Avence 6 or Clementi Avence 2
or from Clementi Avence 6 till Commonwealth West to CP 20)
4)Clementi Avence 2 goes towards Commonwealth Avence West from West Coast Road
5)West Coast Road from West Coast Highway all the way to Clementi Avence 2 to Commonwealth Avence West
6)Commonwealth Avence West from Boon Lay Way and Toh Tuck Ave towards Clementi Central before Clementi
Avence 6
7)Bukit Batok East Avence 3 from Bukit Batok Street 23 and Bukit Batok Central to Toh Tuck Avence
8)Jurong Town Hall Road from After Jurong East Central to AYE/Teban FlyOver.
9)North Buona Vista Road/Buona Vista FlyOver from Dover Road to AYE -
The current road condition in Clementi is bad enough because
1.There are a lot fo private condo buses parking in the bus stops---Eg,The Chevrons,The Botonia,The Infinti,The Carellia (spelling might be error)
There will be 5 private buses at one time and CAUSED JAMS.
2.There are railings as you had mentioned.
3.The taxi did not obey the principle as there only wirtten MAX 3 TAXIS but it can go all the way up to 10 taxis
4.There are some inconsiderate drivers who tend to park/wait the cars there as some might just buy food or deposit/withdraw cash so they park thier cars
at LANE 1.By doing so,it had taken up the Lane 1 with the Taxis as well and Priavte buses
and dont worry,it had been jamming there since 6 years ago in 2005 as I lived there so long I had get used to it.So with the New Clementi Bus Interchange,
it will make no difference even if it skipped the current old bus stops and go to interchange straight away.
Our conditions were like [email protected] road got 3 lanes.SAME AS OURS and jams all over.Anyway we did say we will ike to have 1-2 more lanes so it has 5 lanes but it is rather
impossible due to too cramped. -
Some updates, the railings as I have mentioned previously have been shorten to about 1 bus length. The bus stop should now be able to accomodate about 4 to 5 buses.

Really I see the same thing oly 3 buses at one time or 2.They did not really remove it.

impossible due to too cramped.What i can see is from the strecth from the Block 451 till Clementi Mall,Lane 1 for taxi and cars parking,Lane 2 for buses now left Lane 3...I have never seen traffic jams only buses jamming up.

Go down to the bus stop to take a look when u have a chance, there's the previous railing marks which are covered with a new layer of pavement.

jurong town hall opp JE lib & JE lib bus-stops ?
usually the one opp lib is ppl from other svcs (like 78 79 143 51 97 176 197 etc) take bus 198
for JE lib bus-stop is the vice versa. thats what i observe

Seriously Lakeside Stn bus stop should be widened. It has to cater to Jurong East Ave 1 & Taman Jurong residents.

Hey!I lived there.I saw all these things.only 3 buses can enter.still jammed up the whole area. -

Somemore the removal of the shelters by the roadside and the new carpark entrance has reduced the area which buses can alight passengers.
There's two ways to get this fixed, either lengthen the bus stop (which cant be done) or reduce the number of services there.
As mentioned in previous posts by other fellow forumers, the second option can be done when the interchange opens, and 8/17 of the services can then be diverted into the interchange instead.
And hmm, before they removed the railings, it could accomdate 2 buses. It appears to me that 4 can losely fit into the bus stop, 2 boarding and the other 2 behind alighting after the railings are removed? Unless bc/sl leaves a big gap or when 106 comes....

Singapore everywhere also jam...What to do?Limited space and hell lots of peoples here.China immigrants already reach 1 million mark,Exclude those from HK,Taiwan,Malaysia,Indonesia,India,Bangladesh etc..Still siao2 Govt wanna import another 1.5 million to reach 6.5million.There's also a lot of peeps even at 2am whenever i ride my bike or drive my car

Better to wait for MOT to shift their offices to BNV. Apparently they proposed to have a proper bus station in that building. Not sure if this project is still on the cards. -
Buona Vista seriously need an Interchange.Ghim Moh terminal is not relevant nowadays,So dangerous that side.Many side swerve has occured before not to mention some goondoos park at the lot just to buy meal at the market

LTA is calling for a tender for Reconfiguration of Buona Vista Bus Terminal.
