SBS has been getting better profits because they do things like proper scheduling
fry, fare diff bet Premium is likely to be $1.30 - $1.40 per pax if we do not incl x-fer cases.
But a bus can carry say 20 - 25 more ppl?

Hallo, there is services like Fast Forward 10e, 14e, 30e, 74e, 97e, 89e, 151e, 174e, adn 196e on top of 502, 506 and 518.
I think SMRT is taking advantage more on using the Premium bus category, introducing useless services like 570.

but, say you are that person... who already woke up 30mins later compared to taking the feeder service and then the MRT because you want to take the premium service... but now, the BC tells you that no, you can't board the bus.
now, will you oblige with the BC's instructions... or LLST, BC understands your plight and stand inside? because you cant be raking up $20+ in cab fare.. or take the feeder bus and train.. you'll be late for work...

Actually why not just add more buses then ?
If there is need to add more buses, they will. Currently all buses and resources used for Premium services are buses and BCs used for trunk services, no dedicated buses and BCs just for these services.
Resource is a major concern here, especially peak hours where more buses are needed to handle the crowds.

There are strict codes bet PBS & Express Sv.
PBS can only serve a max of around 10 stops and they would have to head to destination.
I think SMRT is real expert, applied for some 60 PBS in total but none are implemented. Routes like to PSA Bldg.
Any case, the higher fare is alrdy supposed to make up for the loss in revenue w/o taking standee on pov of PTO

Do note LTA will not penalise bus operator if there are one or two standees...
I see your concern about the standees on PBS so why not you raise it directly to LTA, bus operators so that they can take action?!
By lamenting the state of PBS in SG in this forum will not solve the crux of the problem if you are sincere in solving a matter.

See one joker wrote again with comment on the above reader's letter saying the that it is inevitable for standing passengers on trains and buses. Adding more trip will only congest the road for the case of SMRT 190 . He seems do not understand the the requirement of PBS.

The way they run e train headways gave her a reason to say train not tat packed enough.
