Both SBS Transit and SMRT buses met the Quality of Service (QoS) standards for the six month period from June to November last year.
The Public Transport Council (PTC) said SBS Transit maintained its performance while SMRT Buses improved on its adherance to schedule headway or frequency.
PTC Chairman Gerard Ee said the council is pleased that both public bus
operators met the QoS standards set and have also recently undertaken
further service improvements.
He hopes the operators will continue to do more to further improve the quality of public transport for commuters.

Congrats. But surely some off-peak service frequencies can be improved.
there must be some awfully low service standards
if you waited for your bus very long or couldnt board the bus because it's too full in June - November last year...
then you're a liar!!!!!
They also has to start looking at MRT sv
kns, e clustered arrival and 6 mins peak hr headways is getting evident from SMRT.
eg earlier Joo Koon-Jurong East peak hr 6mins headways. From Clementi cut half to 3 mins.

It's only going to be worst w/ 128 trains if 106 trains are alrdy a headache
Elections time, gotcha!
Ok la.
Really got little complaints these days for bus sector.
At least for SBST side.
In general, there were improvements indeed.
SBST so far so good given that their the majority public bus operator here(Who else?),For SMRT sv like 77,852 need fleet additional during peak hours.Off peak and Weekends i dun care.Sembawang badly need more sv.Either extend 171 or 857 there or simply introduced 1 new service to BBT/CCK/BPJ!

Let everyone has an alternative to MRT – bus system during off peak.
Also svs like 154’s capacity has to be kept under watch.
I like that statement. Yes, they must not be complacent but to maintain and continue and look into ways to further improve their bus services to allow commuters to have another choice of commuting other than MRT.
They are not complacent about having fat bonus.
There will be fare increase after the erection.

I've no idea how come there's still this ranting when those taking bus - MRT or bus - bus has enjoyed a whopping fare reduction last year.

I think Gerard Ee is living in his own world. Been waited for 25 to 30 mins at Bt Panjang Interchange for Sv 700 recently.

SMRT's scheduling is really needs a clean up. But their tight fleet makes no help

SMRT should add more buses into their fleet instead of just replacing.
Cheers.

Nonsense.
yea meet the standard my foot..... i once waited 25 min for bus service 178..... 25 min waiting time for off peak.... what kind of QoS is this?
SBST needs more double deckers to improve crowding problems in future.
Congrats to both companies and hope they maintain the standards.
