hav u all notice tat the EDS for svc 950 is FIX? I wonder M'sian don allow is the reason
for 160/170, its the "font" tat is use for m'sian public buses as well (transitlink JB, causewaylink, triton) wonder if m'sian impose such a rule on s'pore buses as well.
n those SBS buses are majority flood wit Malay notice inside the bus as well
not to mention the Dewasan(adult) n kanak-kanak(children) black sign

I suppose "KOTA RAYA II TERMINAL / MALAYSIA" wouldn't fit in one line, so the via part of the EDS was cut? When the Citaro (136C) had the EDS on 950, it was fixed too.

Look, Malaysians may not be used to the EDS system when Sv 950 was first launched in 2004. During that time, they are the first buses with EDS to exist in JB. If you were to set the 950 destination code to be Singapore-spec (with all the via whatever road), Malaysians may be confused and people may not want to board the bus because they are not used to the format. Remember that all JB buses at that time use plastic destos right up till 2009.
Even when Maju JB got their newer Hino buses fitted with EDS in 2009, the EDS only show the terminuses of the route. For example:
JB - Bandaraya.
About someone's assumption about the rulling on the EDS, i think he may be right as well.
What is their instructional language?
M'sian passengers are relatively slower to any bus route changes. Even till to this day, 170 red plate can be confused w/ blue plate or whatever.
The G/W plate for directional purposes could be confused with as well
There are no such thing as a legislation controlling how an EDS should work. The fixed destination preset for Service 950 buses are merely for convenience sake.
