No, it isnt, 165 is the express version of 65 which both starts from an area near the airport[where many offices/2 hotels are situated] and goes past El prat housing estate before ending at Pl espanya
165 does not run on saturdays, sundays, public holidays
165 is full MB Citaro Euro IV Bendy,
fleet#3042,3043,3044,3045,3046,3047...
65 has a mixture of rigid, old MB bendy, new Bendy
65 will use 165 scheduled buses on saturdays, sundays, PHs
Fare is Euro1.45 for both services irrespective of distance...
Use carnet is better
El Prat is in Zone 4
City Centre including Nou Camp is Zone 1
Airport express are routes A1, A2 serving their respective terminals and ending at <M> Catalunya[will post pix]
Rt.46 is between El Prat Airport/Pl Espanya[something like our rt.36]
uses mainly MB Citaro Euro V rigid

i do have to say that Barcelona transport is more user friendly than SG,
Prams can go up,
all buses have bus stop announcement service
bus stop have bus maps that show the origen, final of bus routes...
have express portion of certain services,eg 165/65, 157/57
buses are frequent...
& last but not least, there is change service available, ie if you pay E5.00 for E1.45 trip, change is given by driver...

I went to Luzern, Zürich, Paris and Rome too... Took some photos of buses in Rome and Paris, but was not quite in the moment when I was in Luzern and Zürich... The views there were much better than that of just a bus hahahaha!!!
Damn Luzern and Zürich is damn beautiful!!!
Ok back to topic... Could you upload some of those Swiss Postbus (that's what they call it apparently)? I have got some in a small town named Liestal in Switzerland, where I had the rear photo of a Mercedes-Benz Citaro articulated.

Many many many European public transit systems are much more user friendly than Singapore. It is just that many Singaporeans and local bus fans are like frogs in a deep well and don't see beyond the horizon.
Having announcements of the next bus stop and locality, interactive bus route maps and change service are all too common in European public transit systems. And more so, these places survive on ONE public transit operator placing an emphasis on the need for transportation to be made available to the masses — not accountable to people like their shareholders!!!

I'm sure you as a well-travelled bus enthusiast would also know that our local politicans like to compare our living standards to that of the Swiss. But even in crowded cosmopolitan Zürich, they don't face the same public transport chaos that we face in Singapore...
All the more another reason to actually emigrate to Switzerland, rather than staying in Singapore and enjoy "Swiss standards of living"...

Actually i find it strange when newspaper reports our transport officials go overseas to "考查" when they return nothing changes...
