The previous thread of this topic had expired, so I created a thread to replace the old one.

I believe a lot of commuters will rejoice if ever this initiative is implemented.
SBS and SMRT should be consulted to design the roads in any new town and realign existing roads.
That will be more important than any new innovation. Sg is a county built for public transport but nobody implemented this stupid idea.

It looks so cool and if implemented, can improve travelling time and would be competitive with MRT!

There's an ads in the Straits Times about this mass mover system a couple of weeks ago. This system may be good for congested areas such as Shenton Way, Orchard, PIE, CTE etc. but for short distance travel may be too tiring as we got to climb up to the 2nd floor and down to use the system. and i think the bus-stops require more space to build as it got to be elevated. how abt infrastructure costs; are we going to build lifts for every stops for wheelchair access and the elderly? and for roads with lots of junctions and for turning into small streets, how about safety if the cars below wants to turn and the mover system is moving straight? Hence, will it really cut travel time? if any vehicle below accidently bang onto onto the mover system, is it still structurally safe?

Eh, 299hp too weak leh. 354hp better.
Dun dump Scanias into SMRT fleet can?
May I suggest a heat shield for the engine when it is under the seats.
SMRT Bus:
Scania K310UA
MAN NG313
Volvo B9RLE
(Boring, boring Mercedes. Need more variety)
SBS Transit:
Scania K310UD
Iveco Citelis 12m

For first point, when SMRT maybe tries the Citaro G, most likely they will choose the 354HP version since their OCs are already 299HP lol
For second point, if too many MBs in SMRT's fleet, maybe some of us will get bored of MB....too
So I will add in the buses I want for SMRT.
