CCK & BBT bus routes if it is still under SBS Transit:
61 uses Volvo B10M Mark III, Volvo Olympian 3-Axles from HGDEP; Volvo Olympian 2-Axles and Volvo Olympian 3-Axles from BBDEP.
If 61 is after 2000 within SBS Transit route group, then in 2001, they should have started using Dennis Trident. On 2004, they should have transferred the garage from HGDEP to BRBP since it is from Eunos route group; which have continuity of using Mercedes-Benz O405 and Leyland Olympian 3-Axles from BRBP, Volvo Olympian 3-Axles and JB-regged Volvo B10M Mark III from BBDEP. Then in 2008, it should have replaced by Scania K230UB and can have Volvo B9TL CDGE on fleet.
67 has replaced Scania N113CRB with Volvo B10M Mark IV (DM) from BNDEP, while Volvo B10M Mark IV (Strider) from BBDEP replaces Volvo B10M Mark III. Mercedes-Benz O405 was replaced by Volvo B10M Mark III.
If 67 is after 1999 within SBS Transit route group, then by 2008 it will be replaced fully by Scania K230UB as the Volvo B10M Mark IV (Strider) moves all the way to replace N113CRBs on BNDEP services.
Can imagine......
SBS5008Y SBS5009U SBS8667A SBS8670P SBS8671L SBS8682E SBS8683C SBS8685Y SBS8686U SBS8878H SBS8879E SBS8880A SBS8884P SBS5110U SBS5239Y SBS5252H
16 Scania K230UB for Service 67
106 have used Volvo B10M Mark 4 (DM), Leyland Olympian 3-Axles, Mercedes-Benz O405 and finally the Volvo Olympian 3-Axles.
If 106 is after 2000 within SBS Transit route group, then in 2003, Volvo Super Olympians could be used; and in 2006, replaces fully become Volvo B9TL (CDGE). 106 can eventually have Scania K230UBs in 2008.
If 106 is after 2000 within SBS Transit route group and if it is shortened to Marina Centre, then in 2003, it should have used Volvo B10M Mark 4 (DM3500), Volvo Olympian 3-Axles and Volvo B10M Mark 3.
Ten what abt if SengKang & Punggol will still under SMRT???
190 should have Wrights now since they have majority Leyland Olympians 3xles in the past, with minority of Volvo Olympians 2xles 1st batch, with minority of Volvo B10M DM3500s.
75 should still be using Volvo B10M MK3s with a mix of DM3500s.
77 should be using Volvo B10M MK4 Striders and DM3500s with a minority of Scania K230UBs.
173 should be using Volvo B10M MK 3 and MK 4 Striders.
177 should have Volvo B10M or Scania K230UBs.
189 should have a mix of CDGE Volvo B9TLs and Scania K230UBs
Chua Chu Kang and Bukit Batok feeders will most likely be replaced by some Scania K230UBs with Volvo B10M MK4 DMs and Striders.
I missed those pre 1994 days where these areas were under SBS.

These 2 areas weren't under SMRT in the first place. They were under TIBS, and I think it was an unfair trade that time where SBS have to give up these places to TIBS.
And luckily didn't end up with SMRT, else they will have poor links like Sembawang...
What's the point of starting the topic where it will not happen???
Btw I still prefer SBS transit operate in CCK and BBT(luckily still have 66,157,174) as I miss those days 190, 61 and 106 using ADD. I hate bendies causing jam at CCK ave 4 and CCK loop junction....

Imagine 74 or 151 under Tibs

I still prefer when TIBS only handled Yishun, Woodlands and Sembawang. They managed well on these 3 places, while SBS on other parts of Singapore.

No matter how ppl put it, by the late 1980s w/ MRT commencement, SBS was actually in a better shape w/ more resources to serve everyone.
If SengKang & Punggol area still under SMRT, I think there will be express service to compete with SBS mrt service. if you look at 502 and 506 express service at Jurong and Bukit Batok, you should know sbs is try to compete with SMRT MRT service. I miss 163 under TIBS.

Do I need to include premium services?? Anyway SBS transit will not be like SMRT using CCK int and BBT int as overnight bus park and increases the security breaches......
CCK and BB will have more bus services. More higher capacity buses will be used for 106, 61. Bus frequency will be better for 970 too. It's a mistake to handover those services to SMRT.
How many new basic bus services SMRT had initiated over the years, as compared to SBSTransit? It's time to allow bus companies to freely compete in any territory.

There would not have been service 970.

Bendies for both services. Sufferings for those living in Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang. No place to sit, stand all the way to NP/SIM.

if CCK & BBT is under SBS still, i assure you, Mr Threadstarter, that there will be a service to Jalan Sungei Poyan.

Remembered those days then, it was the only Tibs service to ply along Toa Payoh with a new sight of those sunny yellow liveries.
Service 163 switched to full UMW Lance fleet when Lances were newly rolled in. That was also about time when Scanias were transferred over to the newly opened WLDEP.

Adding on services like 176, 184, 187, 300, 302 - these services might eventually get VO3x in tle late 90s if SBST still operates Bt Panjang by then (187 would not be extended to Woodlands in 1996)

405 is under SBS wo

Total routes need DM3500:

(They all go MBSC)
