Originally posted by SBS & TIBS:103: Other than Leyland Altanteans, I will tell the buses used by 103 from 2005 onwards. There were Mark IIs and Mark IVs at first. Soon, the Mark IVs were replaced, making 103 a full Mark II fleet. In 2007, a Mark II was taken out and replaced by a Mark III. More Mark IIs were replaced by Mark IIIs with the de-registration of Mark IIs and thus, 103 had a full Mark III fleet by 2008. The Mark IVs were brought back in 2010, and this is the fleet of 103 from 2010 till present.
103 uses Leyland Atlanteans and Mercedes Benz O405 before the 2003 NEL rationalisation. That was its route from Jalan Kayu to New Bridge Road.

In 2007, a Mark II and a Mark III was brought in, with the Mark II replaced by another Mark III in late-2007. In 2009, the Mark III was taken out of 81 and replaced with Scania K230UBs.
82: I remembered that Volvo Olympians 3-axle Barch 3, Volvo Super Olympians and Dennis Tridents serve 82 before. After the NEL rationalisation Phase 2, it has the Volvo B10BLE demonstrator as perm, until Phase 3 where it was replaced with Mercedes-Benz O405 and Scania N113CRB, and in 2004 it was change with Volvo B10M Mark II & Mark IV. After the Mark IIs were scrapped, it had more Mark IVs and a Mark III as perm.

Service 82:
Went under AMDEP controlled during the phase 3 NEL rationalisation, as Serangoon routes were still under AMDEP that time. In Sept 2004, all Serangoon routes including service 82 went under HGDEP controlled.
Service 103:
After handed back to SBS in end 1999, was AMDEP controlled with full fleet Merc 0405s (FAC). Continued to stick to the same 0405 fleet even though there were route changes due to NEL rationalisation. Only in Sept 2004 when Serangoon routes came under HGDEP, service 103 started getting Volvos in the fleet (regardless of MK2, MK3 or MK4).

LAs did service 103 only those days before the Tibs tookover in 1995.
After handed back to SBS in 1999, full fleet 0405s were used.

Services 61 and 106 started bendies on the 1st day when Tibs tookover these services (Sept and Dec 2000 respectively).
As for 189, 365 and 367, bendies were introduced only a few months later after the takeover (can't remember when).

189 only use bendies when 367/189 berth swop over from single to sawtooth berth.
365 bendies, I recall seeing TIB838H once though.

Yeah, 74 is FAC already.I believe, the last of the long-distance routes along with 93.
Anyway that 74 had VO2X is no biggie. Many services had the VO2X when it was still considered to be comfy to the masses. That even included 18 as someone pointed out earlier. I used to enjoy taking 18 and sitting on the upper deck looking at Bedok Reservoir.
Seeing the VO2Xes on 18 made me so jealous of the eastern suburbs, especially when I was sitting in a chugging LA on 106.

Ya, that was one of the more serious accident during the chain of accidents involving SBS buses in the 1990s. Then SBS was so concerned about this chain of accidents that they called engineers from Mercedes Benz, Volvo and Scania to have a thorough checks on all their buses and install more safety features as well to enhance the safety standards of these buses.
Back then the Scanias made up less than 1% of the fleet. Today SBST has the world's largest Scania fleet.

So, TIB838H is doing a cameo on 365?
For currently, chances for bendies to appear on 945 & 947 as they are only serving as breakdown replacement.
