agree. I notice some of the SMRT trips seems to be on a very tight schedule which prob cause the SLs to speed. When they reach the interchange, they can barely take a rest before starting another new trip. -

I think this was very common for SBST to road hog a few yrs ago. but nowadays, they road hog less often already, prob they have adjusted their timetables. -
Think the 2 OCs are just temporary.After this probably the new Citaros or any spare buses will do the job

Nope most of the sbst svcs i took recently r still bloody road hogging..Although lik u said,only 1 or 2 svcs i took recently ran normally. -
Demand is there... So they increased the number of trips. Some people said that 971E is faster and cheaper then 555

define road hoggingI bet e chiongsters will be e 1st to kpkb bus schedule cannot meet bus stop turnaround time - bla bla bla driver must chiong.
If bus dun need to road hog when loading is only like 30% means tat bus co not thinking of making $$ cos no one would take their bus one or dun factor in roadworks or traffic condition one

971E using 0405 Rigid nwadays...
The rear green desto has already been made and is used...
Fren takes 971E everyday and arrival time differs being 0825 arrival at One Fullerton bus stop for 0730hrs bus...
He claims erratic as SL is not regular and so not that familiar when to accelerate, slow down...

But it will be great if we can have return bus from CBD to BP too!
Do you know how we can ask give the feedback to ask them to give return bus?
maybe at leat for the evening peak hour?

Wrote to the LTA Centralised Bus Planning, and easy job of the LTA by forwarding to the SMRT Buses, asking to have more trips plus return leg. SMRT buses said will definitely consider that in future implementation. Said already equal to no say. What is the exact role of LTA in Bus planning???? forwarding email??
