the following bus svc act as feeder svc either wit feeder bus fare or having short routes.(from int to destination bef making a loop). wonder shld convert all feeder svc to trunk svc. some feeder svc serve long routes, act as a trunk svc but charge feeder fare.. LOL
Trunk "Feeder" svc
11, 91, 96, 112, 113, 115, 123M, 133M, 163M, 181, 191, 194, 400, 402, 403, 825, 882, 964,
Feeder "Trunk" svc
240, 285, 334, 335
conversion to trunk svc?
228 - 66M
241 - 179M
272 - 131M
273 - 124M
275 (withdraw)
292 - 39M
902 - 169B?
163M = former feeder 371
112 = merger of former feeders 322 and 327
113 = merger of former feeders 321 and 326
The real svs under these cate whereby using the old fare stage system
3, 38, 60, 101, 112, 113, 163/ 163M, 181
There's no way svs like 228 would become 66M, simply because of last bus (MRT) obligation and the first bus timing (As in is it possible to let 66 to start at 0520 Bedok Reservoir towards Bedok Int).
96, 133M aren't feeder services to begin with. They dun ply any new town.
285 is there because it's nearer from Clementi to get to Pandan Loop.
240 is the old Jurong Int issue.
334, 335 is a feeder service. 334 & 335's connection into Jurong West traces back to pre BNL Int routing issue (Sv 98 linked ppl at N2, N3, N4, N5 to Jurong Int).
Somemore dun gibe ideas leh, become 'M' they tell u become trunk service no more 3.2km cap. LTA dun even know how to diff feeder and trunk services out one.

Open different threads with the same meaning behind it
112, 113, 115, 181 should be converted to Feeder bus service.

I suggest 112 and 113 to be split back to the respective former Hougang feeder services.
115 re numbered as 329.
181 re numbered as 245, if there is no extension plans in future. Leave 181 for a future new service.
do you get $$ from starting many threads?
am i missing out on something the past 5 years?!

probably something like 163 and 371? but being a regular commuter of both services, i feel tat 228 and 66 better to remain this way.it reduces the waiting time for a service to Bedok/ Bedok reservoir, especially during peak hours, where there are many people taking to bedok/ Bedok Reservoir
wa 292?
e demand avg wor
still wan to become trunk svc...

I believe TS don't know the definition of "Feeder" & "Trunk"

In the past there was also a feeder service 227 which dupliated service 17, in the end 227 was withdrawn.
Feeder service 371 was amended in 2003 when Sengkang LRT East Loop opened, the amended route duplicated service 163 from Sengkang to Fernvale. When 371 was finally withdrawn when Sengkang LRT West Loop opened in Mar 2005. On the same day 163 was amended to ply along Fernvale Lane and a peak hour short trip service 163A was introduced (renumbered 163M).
