Any pictures of the Transbus Enviro200?
The Transbus Enviro 200 was an epic failure and never made it to mass production nor received any single order. The collapse of Transbus and subsequent reorganisation into Alexander Dennis didn't help, and this product was quickly superceded by the Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Dart. There are no units of the Transbus Enviro currently in public service with TfL.
These buses don't seem to be air-conditioned, do they? Cos I see some of the pics with ventilation windows opened, and I heard it can get quite hot in the bus during hot summer.

London Buses do not have aircon as London has different seasons...
All buses are equipped with blower...
The blower unit is on the upper deck for Scania Omnicity[just above the staircase] so mind your head if you are alighting, boarding on the upper deck!

I see.
It's quite a pity. especially if it is a fully low floor bus, and it is intended for the UK market, if I'm not wrong.
Anyway, did you spot the ex SBST Volvo Olympian 2 axles buses? And how about the old Leyland buses, like the Olympians, Atlanteans, Titans and Narional 2s?

Didn't know the Esteem bodywork was that recent. Anyway, those Darts look quite cool. A bit like the Van Hool low-floors with the sloping but sharp front.

On some models you may also notice that the window size is reduced on the offside upper deck to accomodate this ventilation unit.
Less common makes....
Alexander Dennis Trident - Optare Olympus 10.3m
DAF SB120 - Wrightbus Cadet 9.4m
10.8m version
MAN 12.240 - MCV Evolution 10.4m
MAN 14.240NL - MCV Evolution 10.8m
Scania CN94UB Omnicity 12.0m (12m buses are very rare in London)
Scania N94UB - East Lancs 10.6m
Optare Versa 10.4m

I noticed they are only existant for the newer buses.
Originally posted by carbikebus:Is there any 11.2m long 2x DD?Got any A/C version? How much is the capacity for both lower/upper deck?
Double decks in London typically measure between 9.9m (for the Alexander Dennis Enviro 400/Trident) to the longest at 10.6m. Because of the temperate climate, air-conditioning is not necessary although heating is a must. A typical 10.1m B7TL seats H41/23D.
So r there any more pics??I wld love to see more pics of the London buses.. :))
On the way...
Btw Tfl has announced that close to 12 new London DDs[modeled after the old route master] will be built by Wright and named Borismaster after London Mayor Boris Johnson for his strong push for a new and updated version of the RM

I just watched that video of the hydrogen bus on route RV1; it sounds like some kind of flying saucer! oO

sounds funny right? haha, probably because its a parallel hybrid, so it makes two different motor sounds when 1. the electric motor powered by batteries kicks in and 2. the motor powered by fuel cell kicks in? just speculating.
