It was discovered that sptinfo.net and hiktalk.net downtime for the past few days was the result of hackers meddling with some settings, with the malicious intention of taking sptinfo.net out of action. thankfully, the admins were able to restore the website.
The admins have already retrieve the transaction logs, IP records, etc and are filing a report with SPF and HK police.
There seems to be a lot of talk of rival factions and illegal activities going on for the past few months resulting in ricebowls broken, with some of the guilty ones taunting and claiming aloud that there is no solid proof, but this time round it is definitely of a criminal nature. The police definitely is going to get to the bottom of this and the perputrator be brought to justice.
Both sides might want to try and downplay this incident, but it is only a matter of time more of these crap is going to happen if nothing is done.
why must there be an attempt to hype up a mere server downtime into something as sinister as hacking? seriously, if anyone from the supposed "rival faction" would do something as underhand as this, they ought to be shot for their stupidity. why bring down the entire hkitalk especially when hkitalk is not involved in the first place?
why do you want to blow things out of proportion when it is simply unnecessary in the first place? so what, just because there is a vocal group of people who don't like certain things, by default they are the ones that cause this latest happening?
again, what gives you the prerogative to presume guilt? guilty by association again? oh come on, i believe you are more objective than many of the people out there (if not, it merely makes you one of them).
its time for EVERYONE, and i mean EVERYONE to wake up and stop basing everything and anything that happens just on mere coincidences. this is seriously getting out of hand.
TS, u got any proof to show that hkitalk was hacked by anonymous people?
