  ultra smooth ops all thanks to lower lorry volume. So buses could use the lorry lane and cruise.

  iris is screwed though

  likely freq: 160 14 mins, 170 10 - 14 mins, 170X: 7 mins.

  mmm... LTA is now allowing cars to use Woodlands Rd to turn into Woodlands CIQ. Massive jam

  Now all the 160, 170, 170X, 178 arrivals goes heywired by 8pm.

  This morning had congestion along Woodlands Rd.

  The 160 & 170 are maintained at around 20 mins per bus. Some 160 & 170 are spotted returning to JB w/o desto.

  Can say 160 & 170's headway erratic problem is more or less erradicated.

  I'd rather wait 20 - 25 mins for each bus than not knowing how long do I've to wait.  Which is good for commuters travelling within the local leg

  I think iris iPhone aps is worst for 160 & 170

  GPRS data and scooping it from full route data can be mismatched at times..

  why waste money to expand woodlands rd to 3 lanes or 4 lanes? it will still jam right if no one bother to control the malaysia lorries...they will still anyhow queue. the malaysian lorries all dun care.. give them summon of S$300 per lorry then they will afraid. or anyone who does not queue face ban of entry to singapore for 3 months.. see whether they wnat to queue or not..

  simple solution is to ask the cisco/aetos officer to stand at junction of woodlands rd/woodland ave 3 and control the queue of the malaysian lorries.....alternatively, sv160/170/178 can go via woodlands ave 3 /woodlands centre road instead....

  That stretch of road is abt 1.8km...

  But many of these are trailers, 1.8km can't hold much. Also they can only clear abt 20 lorries in 10 mins block.

  also manyatimes Kranji MRT Stn tat bus stop gets blocked, now LTA wants to install lift to make it WAB..

  Dun forget, lorries are cleared using old CIQ during peak hrs.

  Access tio clogged, lift also can't serve PIW

  lots of lorries are travelling in and out for our HDB concrete slabs, biscuits, veg, eggs, chicken, ducks.

  The way it goes, lots would be banned alrdy.

  Towards respective local ter: avg 20 - 25 mins a bus.

  Pockets of 25 - 30 mins headways during the transition period for the non peak direction.

  170X was quite heywired today.
