Don't extend to Lim Chu Kang ... there's too little demand there.
And it's indeed too long.

are you crazy??
Everyday I utilise service 975 from cck ave 3 and the frequencies of the service on AM/PM Peak hours is atrocious. Rather than extending or merging service 975, I prefer this service to improve on its frequency.

Reply Quote pls. We dont know who are u replying to.
975 goes to a ulu ulu place. Improving on it's frequency is only wasting resorces.
If u say that a service should improve it's frequency it is 45.
Frequency at 12 mins per bus and still filled with people in every 45 bus.
At least 975 frequency is 8 > 12 mins still way better than 45's right?
And 975 don;t get as much ridership than 45...

You are wrong.
975 is quite a heavily utilised route. Many people use the service. Teck Whye to Tengah Camp is the most popular sector of the route. Sometimes you have to stand at the doors during off peak hours.
There are also many army regulars/NSFs who could not board the bus during peak hours.... so what are you talking about no ridership on 975?
The frequency during off peak hour can be about 15 minutes and its actually quite atrocious.
Be more observant before you comment. You see the bus during off peak hour in Bukit Panjang doesnt mean there is no demand. If you let me see 45's off peak hour, Service 45 also has no pax, should withdraw. But is that the case? No. If there is really no demand, they would have withdrawn 45 or 975 long ago.

I wondering if you can have many commuters on this PREMIUM SERVICE. Commonwealth estate are mainly 2-3 rm HDB flats, many residents there are low income salaried workers.
Moreover why route into Margaret Drive? All blocks along that road have been enbloc, there probably only a Queenstown Library and some churches there. No Commonwealth Residents will take a PREMIUM SERVICE there.
Just ply your service along Commonwealth Ave make more economical sense, and it is definitely more express than along Margaret Drive.
