last time temp int very efficient 4 lots for 179A. always had 4 buses there with one or two waiting to park behind....
boarding taking place.. about to full.. men in white radio over for one more to come slowly.. swee swee move off, next one come and boarding starts again...
now, with our new airconditioned interchange, i see no 179A at the parking lots.
then again, the opening of Pioneer MRT had a role to play...

got... the removed bendy lots.
Actually Pioneer MRT did end up made SBS to swap some 179A for 179 instead, good for ppl who stay along the way de. Last time freq was 7 mins. In some sense for evening peak, good as there's increasing no of part time students.
I think right now the dispatch of 179 allows it to take on NTU free bus's load. Simple, the shuttle bus can't carry standee.. 40 ppl

TIB862L SBS9152L MIA
CW3's queue is super long. Stretched all the way to the other end of the MRT station/ Bus Int sheltered area.
Handal Indah still offering money changing service w/ such long queue
MALAYSIA BOLEH! Goes to show they dunno how to manage efficiency level
SBS1955P has a brand new coat of paint for its roof..
TIB1162S front right edge bumper like kenna accident before, 1 hole down there.
In TIB852R, the 'Bus Stopping' wasn't lit when people pressed the bell.
SMB132M's rear rim has orange paint, but still has the original grey paint, like the rim is taken from a SMRT O405...
The Gemilang bodywork is gonna be worn out quite soon
Given it's just in service for over 2 years, it seems like as if the bus is in service for nearly its entire lifespan.

probably caused by a sideswipe accident that just occurred relatively recently, not wear and tear. the bus can still operate with cosmetic damage.

Not really Gemilang bodywork fault, but it is also that the bus isn't well taken care off.

Is there a chance that this is from AMDEP ?

No chance. It's taken at Bt Panjang Int.
A blob of paint or whatever found on TIB1189R (exterior), I also saw a similar thing on TIB1061A and TIB1146P yesterday.

Its very clear this one is caused by an encounter with something.
The unaffected parts look pretty brand-new.....or your eyes have narrow focus?
Just came back
Dunno wat's SLBP really doing. Not a single 179A appeared.
By the time I gave up observing, a total of 400 ppl were stranded at NTU. Outside I saw so many empty 241 towards Jurong N9, brunching somemore.
It's back to square one.
I bet SLBP is only dispatching 50% of the planned capacity onto 179.
I dun understand why SLBP love to dispatch buses onto 179 instead. It ends up those ppl who stays at Jurong N7, N8, N6 deprived of a chance to board the bus. If they more garang dispatch more 179A by force, then those ppl and at Pioneer Rd Nth bus stop has better boarding chances.
Like I've said, chicken n egg problem.
I dunno wat's w/ ppl at SLBP, as if it's so efficient to make ppl wait 30 mins for 1 bus.
The whole 179 system is made spoil by them.
179A's turnaround time is very very long. Why? Cos ppl need to spend time to alight the bus on the crowded staircase, then at Acad Cplx need time to clear everyone.
While 179 timekeeper just dispatch, sometimes only 10 ppl into NTU, in some 8 mins can clear NTU le. The freq is like 2 mins a bus.
The way it's operated is like pre SBS era. Everything no schedule, timekeeper controlled.
Funny, 170X controlled by timekeeper is quite swee swee.. Here in Jurong it's cmi.
TIB1067J rear left EZ-Link card reader somehow was abit sot sot, displayed as Entry instead of Exit....
SBS9889U getting dirtier and dirtier with dusts, webs, floormat peeling out...
