Because with the Bus Stopping, the light is very dim, and people make not know whether anyone pressed the bell.

my trips to jurong east int lately gave me the scenario that the 160 berth is always full of buses. I think they dont wanna pump too much buses up north end up jurong east no bus.
This may b a little outdated, but SBS9231S had the first priority seat cover changed 2 thos in KUBs. The top pt only is changed
SBS 623D (HGDEP 103) - Witnessed 1030pm.
Battery level was really low, at idling point the lights were about to go off (got dimmer and dimmer).
Doors could not open, until BC had to rev the engine then it could.
Suspect it could breakdown any time.

The prob is
Ends up only max 4x buses roving around, 1x say at KRT.
Any case CIQ today wasn't jammed, lorry lane was clear to use
Dispatch pretty lobsided, 1 side 30 - 35 mins, e other side 5 - 9 mins.
Then return leg, the dispatch pretty dilly dally.
The 160 problem has been there all along.
The return leg from KRT always see clustered dispatch like aft 30 mins, chiong 3 buses within 15 mins.
Never once do I see proper headways on 160 other than CNY eve.

Yes, those kind are the modified ones, the unmodified ones are those still displaying Bus Stopping.

Most of the time i go JE,the 160 lots wld all b full and there wld still b buses coming in.Some of them end up park in the 79 lots.

But some of KJDEP buses are also nowhere better. Like TIB882D, exterior and new seats are ok, but the interior like many years never clean, corpseweb and cockroaches here and there.

TIB856E only had its front Bus Stopping LEDs exposed. Middle and rear still has the wordings.
Not forgetting TIB869T still retains the wordings as well.
same goes to 170... nothing wrong w/ full leg until PM peak.. Sometimes both directions has this 50 mins headways gap... Pre & Post dispatch till end of ops no problem.
Can only figure that 170X buses are dispatched to 170 during off peak + Bt Timah after skool jam (This affects the JB bound trips in the evening dispatches).

160 towards JUE: pre 1458 quite ok.. Final bus appeared at 1458 (Blk 228), aft which @ 1538. Subsequent bus expected to arrive at 1605.
