flat fee $1.20?
but this poster put $2...
The fare is a little confusing, cos I did saw this $1.20 from Zaobao...
To me, $1.20 is unlikely.. maybe $2 is correct
well, $2 is still cheaper then the yellow buses from queens st there...

but if it's case basis of Yishun
This bus $2
Take MRT to Kranji > 170 Blue Plate: $1.29 + $0.20 = $1.49. Take Yellow Bus from Kranji is $1.29 + $0.80 = $2.09
From Khatib is $1.33 + $0.20 = $1.53
Take MRT to Woodlands > 950: $1.15 + $0.26 = $1.41
Unless you're coming from JB and it's a direct journey, then it's cheaper... Transfer benefits will be countered by distance fare.

I'm not an expert of bus though...
if only they start from yishun at 4.45am for those catching MAS flights at 7am.
If it serves Sembawang, that Premium 594 or 694 maybe end up close shop

cross border svs is free..
cos not inside QoS and basic req is just needed.
Stops @ Both yishun @ KTR II?
Zaobao reported that 10 buses would be deployed to this service.
If using peak hours peak direction run time of say 100 mins, return leg 80 mins... Just need 7 - 8 buses nia w/ 30 mins freq.
A NEW bus service from Yishun to Johor Baru starts on Friday.
It is the third new cross-border bus route to be introduced this year, as part of a bilateral agreement to increase transit links announced in May.
The new service AC7, from Yishun bus interchange to Kotaraya Terminal in Johor Baru, will benefit Malaysian students and workers who travel daily to Singapore, and Singaporeans on day trips to JB.
Premier bus operator Advance Coach obtained a permit to run the service from the Malaysian authorities on Wednesday.
Its managing director Neo Tiam Beng, 42, is glad for the chance to diversify his business beyond ferrying schoolchildren and workers within Singapore.
'Thankfully the two prime ministers are on good terms. If not, I would not have this business opportunity,' Mr Neo said.

today launch riao har
Buses are Yutong citybuses.
The co invested abt $2m for those 10 buses..
Saw the bus turning into Gambas ave from woodlands ave 7 (same direction as svc 858). The bus no wasnt on the bus stop panel, or may b Xpress from sbw. not sure. will go yishun int find out more. AC7 is the 1st svc which give me the feel of a "3rd bus coy" in s,pore. the bus livery was much more nicer that SBST/SMRT
Is the bus pink in maroon color? With Yutong(SMRT) type EDS? Cause i saw 1 @ RP there..seats are nice!
yes, similar to SMRT yutong bus
Wonder where the buses park at yishun int since SMRT ctrl the int..

yes i noticed this fact from zaobao too. does that mean $200k each?
that's quite fair considering coaster is already about $120k.

ironic
SBS buy buses, far hike kpkb so much. Saw those stepless buses are frills..
Seriously speaking, e SBS single decks cost $350k and you get stepless + wheelchair accessible.
$200k, 1 China bus (dunno easy to find maintenance spare parts or notch), compare w/ Coaster.
I've ever calculated before, in the long term, using either buses dun cost much in diff. It's fuel consumption, maintenance that's e biggest cost factor.
The rear EDS shows the route number and scrolls the destination like SMB135E.
Reminds me of SMB135E. =(
Seems like Advance Coach has a number for each bus, like a fleet numbering system. PA9836B is 2, PA9940H is 3
