Now in Thailand these buses service in route 167 538 and 545
some buses were modify in Rangsit garage(the northern Bangkok 30 km.) I think these bodies from here aren't nice(beauty)
some buses were modify in Banpong garage (the western Bangkok about 70 km.) I'll go here in 8th Dec.
This engine is modify from full Diesel engine to semi CNG/NGV+Diesel engine (2 fuels system)
in the next time I'll take photo here.

No,Gear transmission is automatic gear same when in Sg.
and engine not change too.
In Th. ...Before these buses from Sg. BMTA has MB O405 (engine:OM447) 38 Buses since 1993
this engine is same O405 DM/WA in Sg,but it was modify to semi NGV+Diesel engine same technique now.(I don't know about engine well )
speed limit 70 Km/H. but the bus driver doesn't speed limit
Highest Speed 80 Km/H. on Express way in Th.
These pics you see yellow buse.It is which "private joint bus" with BMTA.

is that an ELBO? OMG..
Good idea,Now at least we can see our fav retired buses get a new life there beside Cambodia and Indonesia,MKI Hispano bendy should go there too.
SMRT ELBO...wonder which one :o
Scania Elbo is only one citybus in Thailand and not use it.
Engine was withdraw.
Seat in it shape same Higer, but stronger than Higer bus in Th.
Put engine in bus. It's heavy weight!!!
Aircon.bus.
I like "SUTRAK". in Th. Sutrak give very cold in ISUZU aircon. citybus ,ever if this citybus is old over 10 yrs.
If I have free time,I will test ride Sg. bus for use SUTRAK aircon.
Test engine
Inside is a bit different when in Sg.
Emergency Exit on the roof is withdraw and replace with air-suck fan.
In Th. they say "a pair of seat is same red-cream BMTA non-aircon. bus."
Test ride and test engine.
It's done.
Really service in route 538 in 17 AUG 2010
Sunshine Busservice Co,Ltd bus joint service with BMTA.

This should be TIB836M from the bolded rego infront. Only TIB836M has the alphabet 'M' that can be distinguished from far. I can 90% guarantee its TIB836M.

I suspect from other than this ELBO, there is another ELBO from the first picture u posted on this page, which was wrapped up. A few differences can be seen.

IT IS!!! In the 1st pic, the ELBO had a damaged Bumper. In the 2nd Pic, the bumper is fine!!!
So we know that Ex-SG buses can be found in the UK, HK, Indonesia and Thailand?
Think some of the SMRT's Nissan UDs should also have been exported to Thailand as well. Instead of wasting the $$ refurbishing the Nissan UDs and give 2 more years extension.

Sorry,I recheck this the first pic.It has 2 ELBOes right.
Now,I found one ELBO in the garage and another one I don't sure. It is modifying body and changing engine?
In Thailnad. Scania doesn't use for citybus.

Show engine
top : in Sg.
down : in Th after modify engine
Seems like a lot of our buses end up overseas after serving their period here:
Did I miss anything?
