I mean if you are taking JIS on your final leg.
Reply from LTA: As the fare model for the different types of bus services are not proportional, the key to unbiased fares is the adoption of a fundamental fare scheme that is used by all services travelled on a single journey. The fundamental scheme is then extended with surcharges for other type of services. This is necessary to ensure that the same combination of services and distances will always be charged at the same fare even when they are used in the reversed order.
The difference in fare model between the air-con and non air-con buses is due to the air-con surcharge. Commuters are charged between 5 to 25 cents for travelling on the air-con services in the journey. In your instance, the total distance travelled on air-con services (bus 985 and MRT between Bukit Batok and Boon Lay) has reached the maximum 25 cents of air-con surcharge to be deducted. As such, commuters who use the non air-con service 246 as part of this journey will not see any difference in the total fare with commuters who travel on full air-con services along this same journey. We have checked and wish to assure you that the mentioned fares are deducted correctly.
Wa kaoz...
LOL.. more reason for commuters to demand for air-con bus services...

Pay more bus fares for NAC bus services, not worth it. Bus services like 182, 192, 193 and JIS should be made FAC already, they are now the only SBST services still with NAC buses...
Thankfully services 74 and 93 were made FAC just before the fare revision
