SMRT 961 caught fire at CTE

  saw an SMRT service 961 bus on fire, lots of smoke. 2 lanes blocked out of 3. lots of smoke. 2 lanes blocked out of 3. think its off service

  CTE most likely used by both AMDEP and WLDEP buses to off service back to depot. I can't tell which portion of CTE is this shot taken so that i know which depot it belongs too. What time you saw it?

  Wahz... So you mean the cause for the fire is driver error?? Hahaz.. Forgot to cool down the engine at intervals.

  Maybe thats one of the reason? Because TIB753T was in really in a bad shape, dirty, but only thing is it can choing.

  Sorry for the shakiness of the video; as you can see, the video (TIB906U) on 961 can even catch up with a speeding taxi @ Upp Bukit Timah Road! This bc also like to jam brake when going to a bus stop.

  agreed! i was kind of scared when i took this bus since everyone was like jolting violently inside the bus including me. i said prayers while filming this so as no accident would happen.

  Base on the vid, could be either the TIB753T driver or TIB528C driver, but both drivers like to chiong like nobody's business.
