Lay Up/Redeployment of Leyland Olympians

  For the first time in 7 years, DDs will be retiring from service. This batch of 200 are the last to leave the Leyland plant in 1993 with SBS 9168 S as the last chassis being built and assembled. It also boosts the one of a kind Alexander Royale bodywork, custom made for SBS.

  Maybe Stage may wanna stalk 9168S after 582M goes off. haha.

  17 Nov 2010: 9032-9053
  21 Dec 2010: 9054-9090
  11 Jan 2011: 9091-9110

  08 Feb 2011: 9131-9143
  22 Feb 2011: 9144-9157
  09 Mar 2011: 9158-9167
  22 Mar 2011: 9168-9187
  26 Apr 2011: 9188-9199

  There are 195 LOs left.

  As of today:
  48 in amdep
  31 in brbp
  116 in slbp
  22 spare buses amongst them for now. (Breakdown is 9/3/10)

  I believe that most of LO3xs are refurbished and ready for lifespan extension.

  anyway i just noticed most of the KMB Leyland AC aka AL are left with like 10% of AL fleet only sia... and the special FF1819 :p

  I think the Leylands have currently gone for mass refurbishment as sv 30 keeps getting O405s as cameo (4-5 in a single day, ytd and today), most probably replacing the Leylands.

  Its the B9TL Wright that are going to replace 150 of them..... For the others... idk.... Maybe Scania K310UD if SBST like it.

  Not ony 30 keeps on getting Merc cameos,but JIS also keeps on getting Merc cameos consistantly for the past few days....Tdy oso got 3903 on 254....Haha.Wonder if tis Mercs r covering any of the perm Leyland's slots which might hav gone for refurbishment??

  Yea really sad.But at least SBST has lik some honour of havin tis last batch of Leyland buses in the world....Jus hope they can get a 2-year extension since most of them hav gone for major refurbishments....

  DAMN i love the LO3x.. i rather them over those slower VO3x. and no thanks i wont want to stalk 9168S if its in S L B P.

   

  and time flies... no wonder many LO3x's are having their front repainted and some of them are having new rego plates.. interior no refurbishments though..

  why? mention your precious slbp nia you not happy? slbp majority controlled area far from my area ma. just that i never mention i was inferring slbp far so out of range for my cameo catching area = wrong? haiyo tsk tsk. and the bus can talk? maybe next time i board 9168S the seats will eject me thru the rear emergency window?

  either he gets kickbacks or is a depot staff, but telling people that he isn't.. perhaps a call to CPIB is in order..
