Has it been occuring ever since donkey times ago I've no idea. But an eveing trip to Jurong East shows how terrible it could go.
HI has scheduled in buses to operate at every 5 mins. But it seems the long queue would never go away bet 1815 - 1915. I attribute it further to its OMTS system.
The bus load? People are made to squeeze onto the whole bus including the exit steps!
But to be honest, HI's city buses are smaller.
i think it's the passengers who willingly stand on the exit steps, which is commonplace in Malaysia...

over here reminds us of the 1970s - 1980s era
That's common practice with sv 95. The BC looks at the entrance, concludes that no more could fill that area, and closes the entrance, opens the exit and waves the pax to board from there. These lucky ones get to ride for free.

Buona Vista is another clusterfark.
Bus stop de-staggered, no way for SBS to add buses for Sv 95.

mostly students leh.. unless they not on BCP then woohoo.. and it depends on BC's mindset also.. some are concerned at being on time, others is whether everyone can board, and some are concerned with fare payment.. and many other logical reasons you can think of..

No.
AM Peak hr, 95's pax are mostly those headed for NUH, and vice versa for PM peak hr.
That's why we have 95A which only serves up to NUH before heading back to Buona Vista.
As for rest of the day, if the bus is full, then chances are its bcos lectures are over.

I'm actually assuming stops on the west of NUH, lol
try this guy: Morning come out from depot do 95A 2 trips then 95C 1 or 2 trips, go over clementi do 96A 1 or 2 trips then 96 till swing break.
haha.

Actually 96 is the one that takes in the bulk of NUS folks going to NUS. Because most of them are not interested in fighting with the rude aunties and uncles on 95 who like to stand in the middle of the aisle going to NUH. Exception is of cos Science peeps, who however have a choice of taking 198.
The reverse is true however for those going home, 95 will see a tremendous jump in people taking it from Arts and Egineering and the bus gets full before it even gets to Science.

Haha I would have thought that it's more like 50/50 between 96 and 95. And most NUS students have wised up and are walking to the bus stop along Commonwealth Ave West.
Going home 95 will be preferred over 96 because of the possibility of jams along the stretch of Commonwealth Ave West just before Clementi MRT.

Is it?
If I have to leave NUS at 6pm, I'll usually pass on 95 and take 96 instead, because the jam at buona vista is worse. At least to me.
Or it might be because its more torturous when you can see the bus-stop, but can only stare at it for 15 minutes from the time you crawl to that location from NUS.
