25 really slow-mo along hougang ave 3 and always kena overtaken by 854! :(

Kubs use disc braking, compared to the Volvo Mk4s, which uses air braking.Buses using air brakes usually brake more smoothly.
Buses uses pressurized air braking or a combination of pressurized air and fluid as a medium to control the brakes, the disc and drum brakes are the point of friction.
Imagine a bicycle, the brake cable is the medium, whilst the point of friction is the brake pads mounted on the front and back rims, same concept goes to the buses, but using air instead as the cable.

You underestimate the KUBs....151's KUBs climb the hills at NUS pretty well. But IMO, the eye-opener must be the B9TL. The B9TL climbs faster than say....the MKIIIs and the MKIV DMs. In fact, its the MKIV DMs (the ZF ones) that struggle more than the MKIIIs. The Voith MKIV DMs are marginally faster than the MKIIIs.
The one I cannot trust to climb these hills would be the VOs. Fortunately none has passed through that area....yet. At least as far as I know.
IMO, the one that has the least difficulty for the NUS services would be the MKIV DM3500.....really no sweat.

But for buses, it's a common item so how I see is if e bus is relatively cheap, low cost to maintain and remains reliable it's better. It's like there's no pt spending more on fabric deco interior as u need to spend more time and $$ to maintain them before turning mouldy in e long run.
Furthermore we macham crash load our buses during peak hrs.
We don't need a posh interior. What we need is buses that do not jerk or vibrate excessively. Even the O405 can accomplish that.

at NUS, it's ok
at benjamin sheares bridge where sv36 passes, there is a prob

I still find Volvo B7RLE relatively less vibrating, but thinking abt 280bhp.
854 can hardly be considered fast compared to say....169.

Won't la. The power of the KUB is pretty ok. Heck, as long as it gets over the bridge, I don't mind.
I've seen other buses roll backwards at NUS and that's far scarier when you're in another bus behind.
And I don't mean roll backwards for a couple of centimetres, and only once.

The rpm was kept at 3000rpm and it has problem climbing still
Was wondering should 36, 48 be given a speical K270UB

voith is meant for hill climbing. and VO's have done 151 before.

get e biting point lor.
I think the MK3, VO2x, KUB needs to go it to prevent it from rolling back.

Have been hoping for a small fleet of MAN buses.
But it seems should be concentrating on 3x or even 2x ADDs riaos.

what does that has to do with your vibration argument?
we were comparing with the performance earlier..
8033D
- Almost see it on svc everyday
- Vibrates
8030L
- Spent most of it's time replacing spare parts. When it's comes back on svc, the bus breakdown the day after or the day itself.
- Min Vibration

I think what is really happening is that you are showing people how YOU are taking ideas from the sky.
